Shadow Hills Golf Club

Course was in good condition. New carts with ball/club washer plus USB charger onboard. Snack bar was closed when we made the turn at 2:00.

Very thin lies on fairways, ridiculous foot deep beach type sand in the traps, which are too severe in that lips are far too high. Hit it in a fairway trap and you will not get up and down. Close to the worst greens I have ever putted on. Course layout is OK. Course is overwatered! It’s not 120 degrees anymore. Very disappointed in that I’m a member and of the 15 or 20 courses I’ve played in the valley, this is by far the worst. Sorry I bought here.

A bit wet. I believe a staff person playing on our butts the whole of our 9 holes.

With all the courses in Palm Desert, you find yourself comparing courses against perfection. It's really not fair. This course would rival any best course in my home town. I think it's a fair course with some interesting hazards, but not overly difficult. It's not a PGA championship-type course, but it has enough undulations and interest to make the round memorable. The course had just been reseeded and was it great condition.

Play a little slow due to cart path only. The Marshall explained it all to us and we totally understand. Look forwarding to returning to golf there again under normal conditions!

Recently reseeded, and greens punched so they were alittle slow but otherwise course in great condition especially for $50

Good courae to play. Teed off at 1:07 and just finished in time. Could not have done another hole due to darkness.

As with ither courses, it is cart oath only. Put in almost 10,000 steps anyway! Would be tough for those with limited mibility and the course is not flat.

Marshall was not only present through our round, he was absolutely outstanding!!

Only negative was the snack house was clised at 1220 when we arrived. One of the restaurant servers went out of his way to find us a couple gatorades to pur hase, so come prepared!

Looking forward to a return to Shadow Hills, 1st sign I see is Cart Path Only. My wife and I love to walk 18 but cart path is a pain. Greens and tee boxes had not been mowed, putting was impossible. Super slow. No problem for Troon to charge us full price. May not return for a while.

We had 3 groups of 2 so eventually we joined another couple which did help with the pace of play. We went to do the back 9 which was backed up so the course allow Us to play the front 9 again. Was awesome! The staff are so friendly made for a pleasant experience as soon as we walked up. Dixie at check in was excellent. Bill the marshal excellent.

Played as a foursome with a foursome ahead of us and they never slowed us down. The course just recently opened after being closed for seeding of the winter grass. The greens are still slow and grass height too high. This is understandable as the grass needs to mature and be resilient for the season. Just be aware the turf is a little long. Should be in much better shape in a few weeks. The sand in the bunkers is excellent but they need more rakes. Not sure why golfers don't use proper etiquette and rake the bunkers and repair their ball marks on the greens.
