Wolf Creek Golf Course

I play Wolf Creek a couple of times a year and always enjoy it, even though I'm not crazy about the layout. Never seen a course that starts out par 5-3-5-3 and then ends with consecutive par 5's. Anyway, it's in good condition and would be in even better condition if people would take care of it. By that, I mean observe the 90-degree rule, and don't drive the carts too close to the greens or tee boxes, Come on, people, you know better than that! I'll be back when there's a Hot Deal. Around $40 is plenty to pay for Wolf Creek.

Overall, Wolf Creek is a good course as I have known for many years. As the levels of players vary, I understand the pace of the play vary. However I don’t understand the fivesome of poor players. Even worse is that they had no intention of hurrying. The ranger passed by, but didn’t take any action.

Loved the course and conditions. Greens were really fast. Pace of play was terrible though. Had to call the clubhouse to get a Marshall on the course. Doubt I’ll be back and that’s unfortunate.

As a 3 handicap this course is long enough from the tips to give you a challenge. Dont be fooled by the initial look of this place. Though it is a little older and the range and first few holes are not in the best of shape, they have changed management and the owner is looking to really put some time, effort and money into the course and it shows. The greens are in really great shape, they are running very true and firm but still receptive. The backside of the course really opens up and is in solid shape on the majority of the course. There are some rough spots on the course but not where it matters. A few of the fringes could use some help but there is not a single green that is not in nearly perfect shape and there is plenty of great fairways on the course. Really impressed with the work they are putting in. For the price, you will not be disappointed. As a side note, I accidentally booked the wrong tee time and they did me a solid and let me go off anyways. Kudos to the wonderful staff there.

Tough but fair course. Course management is a must. Fun to test your game on one of the few courses that finish with two back to back par fives.

Great course, friendly staff. Overall great golf course. They really keep it in good condition. Greens roll true and a challenging course. Will definitely be back.

The greens are fast now and really makes you consider your approach shots. Staff always friendly. We were one of the first groups out so pace of play was fine for us. Challenging course that I've played several times.

Over 5.5 hour round. We had 4 groups waiting to tee off on 18. There were rangers but they never told anyone to pick it up in front of us. Fun course but not worth it if you have to wait 10 minutes to hit every shot.

Greens were in better shape than I expected based on the driving range and the first few holes. It starts out in a little scrappy condition. The range isn't great amd the first few holes aren't in the best shape but when you get into the back nine the course opens up and is actually really pretty. It can also play extremely long at 7k yards. Greens are small but not postage stamps so it makes for a challenging play. Don't be fooled by the appearance of this place. It definitely looks like a C- when you get there and start out but it's a solid B course once you get going

I hadn’t played here in quite some time. I played here on Good Friday because it was the only tee time I could find. That was a big mistake because it was the slowest 9 holes I’ve ever played. They really need to have a Marshal out enforcing the pace of play. They could also speed things up with better pin placements. Pins were in very difficult positions on a lot of holes. This is fine for a normal day but not when you know you’re going to be super busy. The course is in great shape but lots of the tee boxes are bare dirt. They need to do some work there.

Played with a friend from out of town. We’re both low -mid handicappers. I’ve played this course before but it’s roughly 7-8 years ago. The course was a little less kept up than I remembered it being. I understand they’re under new ownership so you gotta walk before running I guess. The course could use some sand in bunkers. A few tee boxes needed some grass. No water coolers on course anywhere. Can be tricky trying to determine which way the back nine plays. With all of that being said the course is a lot of fun but the amenities were terrible. There was nothing to drink in pro shop nor were there beverage carts. I won’t hold that against them too much though because the course played alot of fun. I’d recommend bringing a cooler of water along if needing to stay hydrated.

good course going to start to play from a mix of tees next time.

Worth the trip. A must play Atlanta area golf course.
