Wolf Creek Golf Course

Played this course several times during my visit to the ATL. Last few times it was in probably the worst condition I have experienced. The tee boxes were of a rough condition it good stand to be manicured a bit more. Please bring this gem back to its former glory. I will play it again because of convenience but I was told to play another course called Echelon which may move my annual play.

Wolf Creek aerated their greens 3 weeks prior to my round. The greens look great and definitely will hold a long iron approach shot, but the greens are slow and somewhat "furry." The staff in the pro shop said that they've been rolling the greens but not cutting them. That's why they're slow to putt on. They said they will be cutting them soon (within a few days). So I guess beginning in July the greens should be top notch.

The staff has done a really good job in every aspect.

No fairways cut on the course at all and the greens did not appear cut for several days. On more than few holes the fringes were expanded (as wide a several feet) reducing the size of some greens significantly, which appears to be a maintenance shortcut.. The. course has the land and layout to be much better than the way it’s being maintained. The staff was very friendly and easy going, with a kind of “go out when ever you like attitude” which worked for today but that lack of structure is likely problematic for pace of place when busier. Not worth the price of admission for these conditions.

Super friendly staff absolute great value! Many extremely challenging holes with increased level of difficulty as you progress from Blue to Gold to Black Tees. Greens were tight and overall course is very well maintained.

Definite recommend vs the chichi courses around town.

Course was in excellent shape .worth the money. Pace of play on a Friday was exceptional.

Played 6/17. Course is in great shape. Greens were cut high to heal from aeration I assume so a little slower than I was used to. They rolled true just a little slow. Tee to green the course was very lush and green. Great condition. A variety of holes to keep you thinking. Overall fun course with plenty of challenges.

Great course for the value. Unfortunately they were aerating the green, so you had to play the front 9 twice. Still, a good layout where you will probably hit every club in your bag.

Greens need at least 3 more weeks before acceptable for play. I would avoid playing until then.

Greens were slow and needed a lot of maintenance. Looked like they hadn’t been cut in days. Blind tee shots and slow play were dangerous. Overall course maintenance was poor but good course if it was kept up correctly.

Marshall stacking groups on top of each other. Get there an hour before your tee time and they didn’t allow you to hit on range since they wanted to get as many people on the course as they could before a slight chance of rain. You could say they didn’t want to hand out an rain checks. Then the Marshall allowed an 8-some to play together. Course conditions were awful. Management has gone way down since the beginning of last year. If you want to waste your money this is a place for you. Do better Wolfcreek.
