Wolf Creek Golf Course

Course was enjoyable. Need more signage. Never new where the greens was. No White Tees?

Fair course conditions,. Considering they just had 4” of rain two days ago. The bent grass greens were in great condition, though some of them looked like they are still recovering from our hot summer, last year.

This was my first time playing Wolf Creek. It was a fun course to play. The greens were in great shape and well contoured. There was a surprising amount of topography changes which made for an interesting round. The course condition was very good for a public course. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would play this course again and recommend it to my friends.

Course is decent considering there are not many public options near Atlanta. Management seems to have decline in the last year. If it has rained in the previous two weeks, it will be cart path only even if the course is dry. The bunkers are not maintained and just filled with playground sand. Pace of play is terrible if there is any small crowd. They seem to put as many people out as possible with no regard for pace or tee times. Had a early tee time this morning, it did not freeze overnight but they were operating with a 3 hour frost delay. No notification even with such a major delay. Only course in the area that had a frost delay.

Course is in golf shape, but a little pricey for the area. No complaints though.

I’ve played here on and off since college 10+ years ago.

Challenging layout with lots of variety of shot types and shapes required.

Exciting finishing holes with back-to-back par 5s.

Greens are mostly not that sloped but a few are pretty treacherous.

Keep it in the fairway and you’ll do pretty well!
