Wolf Creek Golf Course
About
Since 2001 Wolf Creek has earned a reputation as one of the toughest golf tracks in the Atlanta Metro area. Wolf Creek boasts a 7028 yard par 72 championship layout with bent grass greens which is just one of the reasons Golf Digest selected Wolf Creek as the best course near Hartsfield Jackson Airport. The Mike Young Designs course incorporates both low flatlands holes, bordering many wetland areas, and holes with dramatic elevation changes. Wolf Creek has four sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. A practice range and practice green allow for serious work on your golf game or just a warm-up before your round.

wolf creek
I play this course off and on thru the year and right now it is in great shape. It is one of the few courses that has some length which I enjoy and a good diversity of holes with the 2 finishing holes being par 5's both good holes. It is close to the airport off Camp Creek about 5 miles and I would recommend it to any one of any skill level.
Great round
Moved back to Georgia 2 years ago - finally found a weekend to play Wolf Creek. Great track. Definitely on the higher end of the price point, but very well maintained course. It rained 2-3 days in a row before we played, course was a little moist, but by 10-10:30 (teed off at 9) course was in great shape. Love the opening holes of par 5, 3, then 5 again, unique to any course I've played. Will definitely be back!

Wolf Creek
This was my first time playing this course, and I had a great experience With an early tee time, I had the place to myself.
The golf cart GPS shot information was helpful in that there were many blind shots on the dog legs. While the golf course is generally wide open, there are a number of very challenging holes, with risk-reward shots.
The fairways were absolutely perfect and the rough was challenging to get out of. I found the greens to be in good shape considering our weather and rolled fairly true.
Knowing the course now, I look forward to my next round.
Course is always in great shape and very reasonably priced. It's my "go to" course in metro Atlanta.
Highly Recommend
If you get a chance, give this course a try. Fun layout and in very nice condition. A few blind tee shots so it would help to play with someone who knows course. All of the clubhouse staff were very friendly and helpful. Also saw 7 deer before we teed off.
A great course on a hit deal
Try course was in good shape with nice smooth greens. Rough was nice and plush and not to many bare spots on the fairway. Tee boxes had some summer burns on them but so do most courses right now. If you can get it for a hot deal it is a must play!
Good Value in SW Atlanta
Wolf Creek is in very good shape but right now plays a bit long due to all the wet weather. The greens are beyond soft and receptive. I had more than one approach shot plug. They recently aerated so the greens were longer and slower than I hope they usually are. That said, it's a good value and was not crowded at all. It's a fun layout that is wide and forgiving. We breezed thru 18 holes in 4 hours and had a great time.
Nice Course
Nice course it was in great condition. Greens and fairways were beautiful.
Nice choice in southwest Atlanta
Booked an early time and found a nice treasure in Wolf Creek golf course. Course was in great shape despite a recent aerification. They used the small pin holes and didn't notice the healing after I got used to the greens.
Great course in the part of town with not many good options. I will definitely return.
Very Good Course
This course is in great shape -- fairways, greens, sand bunkers. Interesting layout with no tricked up holes. However, the seventeenth has a small hazard running directly across fairway that can come into play on your second shot. No way to tell this from the scorecard and difficult to see from fairway.
an urban gem
The course is a beautiful and challenging layout. The fairways have great body, the large, undulating, greens are well-manicured, and there are a variety of tee boxes to accommodate different skills. The staff is friendly and accommodating, though the girl may flirt while other customers wait. The only negative I could mention is that the bunkers need some attention. This is a quality course which demands your attention and expertise to negotiate its challenges successfully. Its slope/rating is well-earned. One playing is not enough.
Great value
Quality layout, good greens,. Would have rated it higher, but the bunkers need work -- there are exposed liners and inconsistent compaction. For the money (especially at the GolfNow rate), a great value.
Fun track with a lot of blind tee shots
I played the course from the Blue tees (@6200 yds) because my brother was visiting and is an 18 hcp. I could hit driver on many wide open holes and had wedges into most greens. On tighter holes I hit 3-iron off the tee. From the Black tees this course increases in difficulty dramatically (7000+ yds).
The back 9 is a fun rollercoaster in the hills with several blind tee shots. The greens were aerated within the past month and weren't perfectly healed yet. If you're near the airport and get a deal on a round it's worth checking out.
Not worth the price
Beautiful layout, however, the fairways had not been cut leading to flyer lies. The greens were tall, slow, and very bumpy. It was luck if you made a put. For the hefty price I would expect a much better maintained course and to have a starter present on a Sunday morning.
One of the best layouts in Atlanta
I love this course. A great layout here. The greens were recently punched, but are healing nicely. Always an enjoyable round.
