Victoria Hills Golf Club
About
Victoria Hills Golf Club located in Deland has jaw-dropping beauty. Golfers will appreciate Roland Garl's vigorous bunkering, which oscillates between the expansive and the intricate, depending on the hole. An array of pot bunkers, waste bunkers, native wetlands, water sprays, bunkers integrated within a natural setting, and elevation changes rarely seen on a Florida golf course await you. Garl's course is graceful and feminine
Victoria Hills could easily be called "The State of Florida's Garden of Golf,"- inland settings such as this are virtually unprecedented in this state. Yet while the splendor and natural beauty of the property are notable, this is not simply eye candy and lazy golf. Victoria Hills, as one player put it, "is a blast to play". In any evaluation, it's difficult to imagine how a golfer would not rate a round here as one of their most enjoyable in Florida.

Never again
This course used to be awesome now it should be closed. Most of the greens are covered with dried cracked fungus. I’ve never seen a course in worse condition and I play the least expensive blue collar tracks. I would be embarrassed to charge anyone to play if that were my course. The staff and clubhouse are great. I felt really bad to see the shame in their eyes.
Terrible fungus covered greens and fairways
7 out of the front nine were covered in fungus on the greens and Fairways were in very poor condition. Did not continue on to the back nine since it was not fun anymore due to the conditions on the front nine.
Prefected course practrice sand traps
No need to drive to the beach, Victoria Hills has merged the beach (sand traps) on to the golf course. One topic to mention is the sand traps are better than the fairways, so play course with the best lie. Good luck
A tale of two Nines
Front 9 holes are a mess. Greens are rolled dirt on most of them. Tee boxes need work, fairways need grass. Layout is great, staff members are great, club house is fantastic and range is so so.
Back nine greens are great, run true, fast, tee boxes are good, fairways are good. Layout is spectacular.
Money has been spent on the back. Now, they need to figure how to grow grass on the front nine.
I love the people, the layout and the elevation changes. Cannot wait for the team to tackle the front nine and make that as good as the back.
HORRIBLE
The first 9 holes all the greens were horrible!! The fairways were not cut and overgrown. The starter me at the end that the first 9 greens were burned out from wrong chemicals. Its was so bad I wanted to get my money back after the first 7 holes! I will never play there again!
The best I can say is the staff were terrific, professional and friendly. The restrooms in the clubhouse have nice tiles and are clean. The course and greens are in terrible shape.
The back 9 was better last week, but this week the fairways were brown. The greens are still a mess on the front 9. They are trying to get it back together, but it will take time. The new pro shop is very nice and the restaurant has great food. Staff is super friendly.
victoria Hills
fairways front side in very poor condition, very little grass. Greens front side in poor shape, no grass. Back nine fairways and greens in much better shape and not bad to play off of. On front side encountered a group of 6 playing in front of us making it a 3 hour side. No marshal on the course.
Deland golf
I liked the course and will play again. Green are in poor condition but should improve with water!
No grass
WOW. This used to be our favorite course in the Daytona Beach area. Great layout. But current owners seem to refuse to plant grass, fertilize, mow. Just an absolute dirt fest. Embarrassingly bad conditions. We could have played a few days latter through Golf Now for $15. Our entire group decided it was NOT worth $15 a round!
