Victoria Hills Golf Club located in Deland has jaw-dropping beauty. Golfers will appreciate Roland Garl's vigorous bunkering, which oscillates between the expansive and the intricate, depending on the hole. An array of pot bunkers, waste bunkers, native wetlands, water sprays, bunkers integrated within a natural setting, and elevation changes rarely seen on a Florida golf course await you. Victoria Hills could easily be called "The State of Florida's Garden of Golf,"- inland settings such as this are virtually unprecedented in this state. Yet while the splendor and natural beauty of the property are notable, this is not simply eye candy and lazy golf. Victoria Hills, as one player put it, "is a blast to play". In any evaluation, it's difficult to imagine how a golfer would not rate a round here as one of their most enjoyable in Florida.

Didn't know of aeration..greens & course BAD!
IF SOMEONE READS THIS..GOLF NOW OWES ME ONE....I TRIED TO CHECK BEFORE BOOKING BUT COULN'T FIND ANY REASON NOT TO BOOK. I LOVE PLAYING VICTORIA HILLS BUT NOT THIS TIME. REALLY BAD SHAPE AND THE GREENS..FORGET ABOUT IT. GREAT COURSE BUT NOT THIS TIME..YOU SHOULD CONSIDER GIVING ME A REPLAY. I CAN'T PLAY AS OFTEN AS I USED TO DUE TO MY WIFE'S HEALTH.

Awful Course Conditions
Apparently ownership decided that the only part of the course they would try to maintain would be the greens ( and those weren't great ).
7 or 8 years ago this course was in fantastic shape. Absolutely shameful it has been let go!
Won't be playing there again until it improves drastically!
Needs water badly
I love the layout of this course and the staff is very friendly, but it was hard to find any fairway grass at all. Had a better chance of landing in the rough. Although I lost 2 balls in rough even though I knew exactly where they landed. Did find 3 other balls by stepping on them by accident, Cannot recommend this course with the conditions the way they are.
Would highly recommend it if the fairways were better.

I liked this course the very first time I played it. The layout is great to the eye. Played a very smooth pace all day, quite warm but nice to have plenty of ice and water available .The greens were in good condition for the most part but cant say many good things about the fairways and some tee boxes. Fairways were burnt and far too many sandy patches. The lack of rain hasn't helped ,but it definitely isn't an overnight issue. I started playing out here about ten years ago and have seen it in great shape and will continue to come out..

Sadly disappointed
The tee boxes and fairways were in terrible shape. The fairways were so rough that I ruptured my spleen riding in the cart. It is a shame because this course has a great layout. Its not worth the price.
I don't recommend this course!
Fairways are very dry. Starter said they are doing maintenance on retention pond that irrigation pulls from. Hopefully when finished fairways will come back.

Hopeless
Tried again. 6 weeks ago the fairways & Greens were starting to look good, so what did they do, they cut the fairways as short as possible now they are burnt out! I know there were some watering issues so why shave the fairways knowing that? Weed grass is now starting to appear on the greens and not being treated? Transition areas are untrimmed and rough not being cut properly. The only green spots on the fairways is the weeds! Huge dirt areas in fairways and around the greens and being ignored! To be honest I have no idea what Ownership is doing, the Course looks TERRIBLE! and the rates they charge are criminal! For anyone who played this course more than 5 years ago it so very sad to see it in such sad shape now, a disgrace!
Terrible conditions...they should be embarrassed to charge money
Love Victoria Hills' layout but was appalled at how bad the conditions were. The greens were acceptable but the rest looked overgrown or bare. There were entire areas of sand in middle of fairways with huge weed patches. Just terrible.
They should shut down until they get it turned around as they are stealing golfers' money to charge to play these goat ranch conditions.
Shame on you Victoria Hills!

Finally played in a real course since practicing for months and couldn’t feel better on this course. Greens were moving as expected. Beautiful overall

Wait until they figure out the water issue
The only thing that was good was the greens were in better shape than in recent months. The fairways were basically dirt. I live in Victoria Hills and I will choose to play elsewhere until they invest in course maintenance.
Ragged condition
I said yes to a friend, but with caveats. Warning of fairway conditions. Greens do putt true.

Mow the lawn!
This is alway a favorite of mine. But seems to be in deteriorating condition. Grass surround course was terrible. Over the condition of the course looked bad. Still played well but if your ball wasn’t on the fairway forget about finding it.

Course a little challenging
The greens were great, bunkers not too bad but, the rough was too rough and needed a trim.
