Victoria Hills Golf Club

last time here, conditions were improving. this time falling back.

They have a way to go but they are on it. Course is in the best condition has has been in since last year. The drought had a lot to do with the decline in conditions which have been corrected thanks to mother nature and the team caring for the course.

I play here regularly, but it has been several weeks since I played and WOW, what a difference 3 months has made to this course. Greens have been steadily improving and recovered quickly after being punched in early June. The greens are now as good as any course in this area. The fairways have shown tremendous improvement. There is actually proper grass in fairways with good lies all around. Step by step progress is being made and this course is coming back to its former self! Highly recommend giving it a chance.

Although the greens were recently aerated (within a month), they were surprisingly true if not a tad slow (as opposed to fast and very bumpy several months back). New grass growing in the fairways (along with some weeds) is a very dramatic improvement. I commend the superintendent and staff on the work that they put in to improve the course (and mother nature helped as well with the rain we've been having). I've added the course back into my daily rotation. And so should you.

This is the worst shape I’ve ever seen this golf course in. I’ve played it well over a dozen times and the staff is very friendly but they are letting the golf course go and I will never be back with the conditions that it is in right now. It’s a borderline goat, ranch, or call Pasture. The scores to not even be open in mind so I just let everything grow in or build houses on it and be done with it the $50 that you charge for it is highway robbery.

Had not played here in 3 months because of terrible conditions. I ran into someone who told me it is getting better so I tried again. Yes the Greens have been worked on and are much better, but need to be rolled! I could see some treatment of weeds in the fairways and they seem to be finally cutting them a longer more appropriate height! I understand only so much can be done at one time but lets hope next phase is fixing the awful chipping areas around the Greens, chipping on some holes is just a disaster. I see someone from the course comments on our comments and would love to hear from them what the plan is? I did post a negative comment months ago and wanted to be fair that some things are getting better. Sure hope they restore this beautiful layout,

Positiv ist eigentlich nur das schöne Layout. Die Landschaft und das Layout hätten eigentlich viel Potential. Aber die Fairways, Grüns und die Bunker sind in einem schlimmen Zustand. Das war mit Abstand der am schlechtesten gepflegte Platz, den wir in Florida gespielt haben.

Still a long way from her potential, but in as good a shape as she's been in a year or more. I last played the week before aeration. It's still rag tag, but the greens were in great shape besides the usual bald spots, but you can play around them. They rolled nice. Still bare spots in fairways, but hopefully this will be improved as well. Just move your ball a little bit and play from a grassy spot .Not all fairways are bad, but there's a few rough ones down the stretch on the front and back. Tees boxes were in much better shape and I hear they have a new superintendent and he's doing a great job. Can't wait to be back in a few weeks post aeration.

Seems like the greens are the only things being worked on. They just aerated and will hopefully be nice in a few month though every one has bare spots. The fairways are atrocious. Back nine may be a bit better than the front. Fingers crossed with the new greens keeper. I’ll try it again in another 6 months.

Course is looking rough. Had to play front 9 twice, I assume they are fixing back 9. It could be a fun place to play, but lot of dead spots. Sand traps are packed. Will play again but im a beginner.

Love the layout of the course. Always like playing here, i played as a single and was let through by 3 groups , they were very generous. That doesn't always happen.

Course is in some rough shape in places, the greens had some bad spots but ran true in most areas.

Super friendly staff and a beautiful lay out. Golfing in Florida in the summer I appreciate the numerous cold water stations they have. Great value

The new greenskeeper is doing a great job. Fairways are still in need of work and new sand in the bunkers is needed but the greens for the first time in 3-4 years are the best I’ve seen them. Not all are 100% yet but they have come a long way. If you haven’t played here in 6 months come back and check it out. At this pace id expect this place to be like it was 7+ years ago. Fingers crossed!

About a year and a half ago, this was one of the top Hidden Gems in Central Volsuia. False front greens, rolling fairways, and bunkers trimmed and cupped with sharp lips. Have not been out in about a year as the fairways were burnt and weeded, greens with dead spots, and overall condition making it difficult to enjoy.

This past weekend, with a week of rain, the greens were flawless (green and plush) rolled incredibly slow because of how plush, fairways coming back in, and tee boxes with high grass. Keep up the good work, the Course is almost back!

I’ve played Victoria Hills for years now. It’s steadily gotten worse over the last few years. The course is just sand everywhere and they don’t even have trough(it’s basically weeds lining the areas for rough). I know some improvements have been made for the greens, but the course is really rough lately. Hope they can bring back the Victoria hills we all used to love.
