Slow from the start.
We had a 10:15 tee time but didn't tee off until 10:45. One starter going in between both courses is not a good practice on a Friday morning. They need a starter on each #1 tee to keep everything in order. The round took 4.5 hours.
A little burned out
The course needs water. The fairways are suffering but the greens are in good condition. The layout is good and challenging for all level of golfers.
Course play started slow. Partly due to the fact we were playing as a 2 some following a 4 some . Another 2 some was behind us. As we waited at the 6th hole we just had the 2 some behind us join us. Once that happened the pace of play was just fine.
I will go back. Hopefully some rain will come and help the fairways recover.
Mismanaged
Got the first tee time in the morning only to be put behind multiple groups after the turn. The course messed up and sent the early groups off the wrong tee apparently. In stead of adjusting they made it the problem of their customers. Turned the round into a 4:45 round. It’s bad business to make your mistakes the problem of your customers. On top of that the course wasn’t in great shape. The greens were decent and quick but the fairways and bunkers were not well kept at all. Don’t recommend.
Florida golf requires oatien
Florida golf requires some patience. Pace was slow but expected. Eagles is one of our local go-to courses for expected quality and favorable pricing. Staff is always friendly.
Pace of play & course conditions
Our tee time was 10:52 & after 2hours & 40 minutes completed 9 holes . No rangers were out there doing their job to speed up play . Greens & overall condition of course is only adequate. For 75 $$ expect & deserve better !
Not bad for winter conditions
Course was in great shape for it being winter! Saw at least 10 gators, 10' to 2'. Greens were quick. Waited on the groups in front of us but that's winter golf in Florida. Go for it, you'll enjoy it!
Very poor green conditions.
Overall the course has a nice layout, played the Forest course 6 weeks ago and enjoyed the last 10 holes. The Lakes course has a lot of houses around almost all the holes and every green had significant damage, be it bald patches or deep ruts. Tee boxes need repair as well. There are lots of courses locally that are in better condition and $15 or more less per round.
Course rating
I didn’t have much interaction with the staff. The starter was friendly and helpful.
The course was in pretty good shape. The layout was interesting and mostly fair, except for hole #10.
Quick Round. Great price
We booked for 2pm on a cool afternoon. Course was quiet so we got out 20 mins before. Played a very fast round in about 3.5 hrs. Lots of tough holes. We will be back again for sure!
