Golfer Reviews
Lakes course spring break
My son and I played this course for the first time. Weather was threatening but it never rained so the course was wide open. Had fun. Some greens had issues that we could not understand as the next green would be I n good shape. Big gators laying all over the place which was interesting being from KY.
There is another course here “the forest” perhaps it was better as it had more play.
Condition
Course was a bit wet due to heavy rain night before
Some greens under repair but over all great corse
Rough shape
The course was in bad shape. There were many fairways that had little to no grass in multiple large areas. The Greens on the front 9 had lots of sand and lots of areas with little grass. There were lots of standing water on the course due to multiple irrigation leaks.
Course was in rough shape.
Course was in rough shape. Greens had bare spots that looked like they spray painted them green. Fairways were short and in rough shape. I teed off at 7:45 am and didn’t finish till after 1pm. It was a slow backed up round of golf. I paid around $65 for the round, I know I was disappointed as was the other twosome I was paired with. We all said we wouldn’t be back mostly due to the course conditions.
Greens
A couple of greens starting to look like the ones on the Forest course they need attention.
Not worth it
I had the opportunity to play the Lakes course in March ‘22 and it was a let down. We paid $65 and the course was in shambles. Greens were punched and had sand patches, fairways were covered in sand and leaves, and as an 8AM tee time we didn’t finish till 12:45 (we didn’t stop at the turn). For $65 I’d recommend playing elsewhere.
Positive - beautiful community and friendly staff
Poor
I have played this course several times. Entertained an out of town friend and was totally disappointed by the condition of the course. Tee boxes had grass on only a few holes, fairways had too many bald spots with the approaches in the same condition. Too many shots hitting off the hardpan. Greens were anything but green with many having green coloring added.
I golf weekly in town but sad to say you lost a customer.
Lack of Organization
25 minutes in line to pay
20 minutes for cart after tee time
No one to give out cart
One person to give out carts
One person taking in carts
No Starter
