The Eagles Golf Club - Lakes

My wife and I loved playing here. Very good value.

The weather was on the colder side and overcast. The course was relatively dry considering the rain the night before and greens were in pretty good condition. The staff was friendly and we had a nice day out there.

Enjoyed our round of golf, greens were excellent, were fast and true. Fairways and tee boxes great shape. Nice clubhouse and staff was great. View from patio was awesome late in day. will be back, and can't wait to try the forest course.

Course is well maintained; beautiful; quiet; challenging with the many doglegs. Will play the Forest course next time

Course was empty and I played in 2:15.
Conditions were good--greens a bit slow.
Enjoyed the layout and looking forward to the Forest course.
Easy to get to from anywhere.

Very challenging and very well kept .the staff was very friendly and we will return to play again.

Lots of water but not an issue on most holes. Course in great shape and played well. Greens were fast. Some narrow fairways and a few sharp dogleft/right fairways that can be troublesome.

The fairways are in very good shape. The course is challenging as the fairways are narrow and it plays long. 5 tee boxes make the course playable for any level of skills.

other than some patches and a couple of rough spots, the greens were in good shape and putted true. Although the rough was not terribly long, it encapsulated the ball making it difficult to find at times, so keep on eye on where it goes. Some large oaks are very strategically placed, putting a premium on working the ball both directions. Most greens were slightly elevated, forcing the approach shot to be flown to the green - anything short stayed short.
A very enjoyable place to play

Been playing this course for over 20 years. Played the Lakes this time. Course was bought by new owners 3 years ago and they have put a lot of work into the course, including new tee boxes and greens. Greens ran slow. We shot from the tips and it was challenging. Great value for the money. The Forrest course is more forgiving. Great to see Doe on the cart still. m She has been here 27 years!!

a beautiful day, albeit very windy (25+knots and gusty) gave me quite a challenge especially on the par 5's. Not the greatest time to struggle with the new M1 driver lol. 1st time on this course.

Some of the front 9 greens needed some work as the grass was withering in spots. The back nine is quite challenging with 10's crazy mammoth 90 degree right hand dogleg, That hole alone should give the pro's fits. most of the greens had quite a challenging feel with the undulaions. I was hitting from back tee's so I could put my skill to the test.

I was able to get on the green in 1 shot on several of the par 3 holes and on in 2 on a couple of the par 4's. You have to lay up on a couple holes and keep the driver in the bag so I feel like this is a good choice for an all around course giving you a bit of everything.

I will keep this short and to the point. The facility was nice and the course was in great shape. The problem I had was being followed from hole to hole by an attendant. When we asked why we were being followed, he responded by saying "I am just doing my job". There was no group in front of us and no group behind us for at least 2 holes. We were not interfering with pace play. As the only minority grouping on the course at that time, I was more than offended at the treatment. So, i would not recommend the course to have ANYONE be subjected to that kind of "hospitality".

Played the lakes course, which is longer and has less water than the forest course. None the less, the course was in fantastic shape and everyone was extremely friendly.

I had played the Forest course before and I was under the impression that the Lakes was the better of the two. I found them to be comparable at best, with the Forest greens being in better shape just a few weeks ago. We were booked in the middle of a league, and someone from the staff came out to us in the middle of the first fairway and asked if could start on the back 9. We didn't have a problem with accomodating the request, but when we drove back my the first tees, the members had some snotty looks and comments for us, as if we had something to do with it. I'm sure it was more because they have some "better than you" attitude about non-members playing their course. Well, I am a member at an actual private club and just decided to mix it up a bit since I wasn't able to make my usual game in the morning. I won't be coming back here though.

I will start by saying the Tampa area has been getting pounded with rain but this course was in pretty rough shape. There wasn't a dry spot on a single fairway. Three of the greens should have been closed due to water. The rough looked and felt like the U.S. Open. The greens felt like you were walking on a drenched sponge and there was some type of insect causing thousands of tiny lumps of dirt on each green.

This a most play course. I love it, the greens are outstanding, the course is kept in outstnding shape. The layout is great. Most bring all your friend and family over to play the course.

The course was in great shape and enjoyable to play, for me as well as my wife who is a new golfer. The greens were in beautiful condition, fast and moderately challenging, but not ridiculous.
It was Mother's Day so it wasn't busy for a Sunday and we have a wonderful afternoon on what felt like a private course. We played 18 holes in 3.5 hours while we took our time and enjoyed it. We are looking forward to playing there again soon.

Saw a ton of wildlife. The course is very unique and difficult. It is in great condition. My only complaint is that the driving range was in awful shape. It's like someone forgot about it.

Greens,fairways,bunkers and tve rough are in great shape.

Course was in very good shape. I played the lakes course and it was a lot of fun. Fairways are in good condition. A few tee boxes were beat up a little, but overall in real good shape. I'll be back!
