The Eagles Golf Club - Lakes

I paid $75 and was a little disappointed when I saw the conditions of a lot of the greens. Very patchy and not what I expect for $75. Long course and nice layout however.

So it was mine and buddy first time playing there. We had 8:30 tee time and finished in about 4 hours and 30 mins. Only a few of the greens and one or two tee boxes were not in the best shape. The fairways were very green. Saw a lot of wildlife to our surprise, a few deers, quite a few of gators, and a lot of turtles. We only saw the cart girl once all day and that was when we were coming off the 9th green.

We had a 12:07 tee time, we arrived around 11:45 to find that the course was short on golf carts. Tee times were running about an hour behind. Once we teed off, front nine took three and a half hours. Thankfully, most players called it quits after 9, so the back nine was much more efficient.

The Lakes course has a great layout, was in good shape considering the amount of play the course is getting. Looks like the facility is in need of more golf carts to accommodate the number of players.

Overall, not disappointed with the experience, but witnessed numerous other golfers complaining and visibly upset.

Arrived at 930 for my 10:18 tee time. Range was packed so had to share 1 mat with 3 others from my group. Couldn’t get a cart until 10 minutes before my tee time. The tee times were 4 minutes apart which is just ludicrous. The tee box was jammed up because of this. Didn’t actually get to tee off until 11:30. Round took over 5 hours. See pic Never again.

I have played this course dozens of times over the past 10 years, and it’s always very acceptable. Being local, I do understand and expect that a round might exceed 5 hours on a weekend and this time of year…but.

1. 50 minutes delay on t time for no reason other than overbooking

2. A group of 6 playing together botllenecked the whole course. Only one time in our nearly 6 hour round did we see a ranger, and he just drove by. Yes, I said 6 hours.

3. Course condition was the worst I have ever seen. At least three of the greens were virtually unputtable.

4. After the round, speaking to the manager on duty, he honestly could have cared less about our experience.

I highly recommend that you spend your money elsewhere. They obviously don’t need your business and in my opinion, acted that way.

Front 9 Needs Work on Greens and Tee Boxes. Back 9 is much better. It's almost like two different grounds crews are used. #2 green has been diseased or dammged for several years.

40 minutes late on starting; no carts.

10 to 15 wait on each and every hole.

Tee boxes in good shape, fairways in better shape

Then most courses, saw several sizes alligators

Very clean and they take care on restrooms and Lake

Your greens are getting worse every week starting lo look like Forest greens.

Fog Delay had the tee times stacked on the 1st hole but nobody can control the weather, Tee boxes and fairways are in good shape but enough of the greens need work that it should be mentioned. Greens roll fast but some of them have patches of dead spots and sand all over making it less than ideal. Round took 4 hours since we were able to skip ahead of the group in front of us at the turn or we would have been closer to 4 1/2-5 hours since too many people are playing from the tips when they should move up a set of tees.
