Great Course !
This was my 2nd time playing...course was a little wet but in great shape from tees to greens. One of my favorite places to play. Staff very friendly. You and mother nature...stunning views and layout...can't wait for another visit

Stonewall Golf Course Lake Manassas
Excellent golf course with panoramic views of a beautiful lake that rarely comes into play. I will definitely play this course again. Even in winter conditions the course was in good shape. Can't wait to play it in spring and summer.

Good December Golf
Stonewall is a wonderful course. The staff is friendly and helpful.
We played on a *cold* day in mid-December. The fairways and greens were in less than their typical good condition. Being winter-ish, grass is dormant and repairs slowly; so I can forgive this. However, the traps were miserably raked.
We were unfortunately behind a rather slow foursome so the pace wasn’t the best. As the sun started getting late, the already cold day become downright freezing on the final few holes. Stonewall staff can’t control the weather but they can/could assert the pace of play.
I recommend this track. Good value. Interesting layout and pleasant views.
Oh, and they offer (for a modest additional fee) golf carts with enclosure covers during the cold months. Our playing partners, to their joy, took advantage of this.

still the best public course in DC area
Stunning Fall day with the trees all red and golden. It was a bit blustry but perfect Fall golf.
It's simply the best course in the area. Imagine they actually give you range balls (take note Raspberry, Bull Run, Renditions) to warm up on a great practice area. Really good chipping and separate putting green. It's walkable but the back has some long carries between holes but not unreasonable. front is easy to walk.
The layout is tough but fair. It winds through a million dollar housing development. You rarely see anyone except vendors and maybe the occasional dog walker. Few blinds shot, this course is not tricky you just have to hit good shots.
The layout is simply perfect. The new ownership group have put money into fixing issues. The wet bunkers were actually raked! wow thanks! The greens in good shape. Fast from the wind but had been cut recently.
The views of the lake are simply majestic. I really think these guys are closing in on being the top public course in all of Virginia and could make US top 150.. Now I 'm wishing it was easier to get a time...book well in advance.

Great layout, decent condition, very slow play, no yardage markers
Played on Thursday early afternoon time. The course has a great layout, with greens generally are well guarded by multiple bunkers. Some greens are elevated. The views at some holes overlooking the lake is simply priceless. The undulating greens are in very good condition, fast but rolling true, fairway condition is decent, rough is sparse at spots, bunkers are playable but quite tightly packed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The range balls are free. The pace of play is very slow though, only able to play 15 holes in 4 hours. And it is very hard to find yardage on this course, as there is no customary 100/150/200 yardage markers. The management really should add yardage markers on the course, and add a marshall to speed up the play.
