Hornets Abound
Several holes had swarms of hornets in the green side bunkers. Between that and a lack of replacement of shade trees at the tee boxes (some stumps were present) it was extraordinarily hot.
Excellent layout and conditions as well as pace of play.
Course was in great shape, especially given the recent drought and heat we've experienced for a June. Greens rolled true. Hope to be back again soon.

Best course in VA
This course was the nicest course I’ve played in VA! I would have given a 5/5 but when I played it was in the 90’s and not a single water jug on the course had water in it… so bring your own water!

Beautiful course. Conditions of fairways and greens were excellent. Staff is very friendly. A must play if you’re in the northern VA area.

Typical Jackson fun design. SLOW PACE
RIDICULOUSLY slow. I was a single, paired with another single whom.is a regular. He brings his fishing pole pole because he knows on certain holes he'll have time to kill...and he was right. 3 holes he put together his pole and had at it for several minutes while we wait.
Another 2some.asked to pass us..I said sure but there's nowhere to go...and instead of passing us and the 6 groups in front of us they decided to slow us down even more. I left after 15 holes because it was already 4 hours. I was done.
With that said.. .usual fun jackson layout. Wedge shots into every hole. Amazing views of the lake. Great staff. Love the non GPS golf carts.

Great layout
This course has an excellent and challenging layout. The water is in view for many holes but not always in play which is good. The greens are tough to read but roll true.

Great course. Friendly staff. Need course marshals to keep groups moving quickly. Round took 5 hours. Too long - even for a course if this quality.
