The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club

Course in great shape! Greens are tough to read, they were fast and slow. Challenging! Nice setting at a great price, play it you'll like it!

Grens were in great shape. Fairways were mostly clear of debris (leaves, twigs, ...acorns).Still a very challenging course. The staff was very friendly, Biiked as a single, teamed with 2 other golfers for a pleasurable round.

Hazards were not well identified on the course. Club selection is important. One of those courses that I would play differently the next time.

Great course, greens were very fast couple of burn out spots. Overall course in excellent shape. Very Challenging layout!!

I was impressed with the layout of the course but only made it through 9 holes because the pace of play was extremely slow. We finished 9 holes as a twosome in 2 and a half hours. The marshal stopped by to inform us that there were a couple 4somes ahead slowing down the pace but then nothing was done to improve the pace. Unfortunately, the course was also soggy and didn't drain very well at all from a previous nights rain. However, for the $25 booking fee at the time I thought it was definitely worth the effort to drive 45 minutes and check out this course and wouldn't mind coming back during the spring/summer when it has dried out more. The other neat part of this course was that they have their own app that you can download and it'll keep your score and also updated GPS location - very nice perk considering I own an iphone.

Have played the course several times now and it is a very challenging but fair course. Beautiful course with rolling fairways and undulating greens. Greens are well kept, good speed and solid challenge to get in right positions. Friendly, helpful staff with great pace of play. Love to play more but it is 2 hours away.

I played this course on a weekday, late afternoon and I couldn't finish due to the pace of play. I like playing fast, but this was too much. I was waiting 5 min between shots. I don't know if that was just a bad day, but I wasn't happy. As for the course, it's great. A very tight and tough course. If you don't hit it straight, don't bother. Great condition. If you are looking for a challenge for a low rate, this is your spot.

The Preserve meets one's image of a $45-65/round golf course with very well maintained fairways, t-boxes and greens, appealing vistas, courteous and attentive staff, and a turkey sandwich that equals your Aunt Mary's the day after Thanksgiving. Be careful! The front nine can lull you into assuming you may actually break 80. The "turn" will put those expectations to a serious test of your golf skills. For $25 via

One of my favorite courses in the Raleigh Piedmont Area. Tough and challenging. Course was in very good shape like always. Need to hit a straight drive on most holes. Bring your long irons (yea!). The golf now slider bars don't work in Chrome Browser so it is all or nothing so here are my rankings.

The course plays fairly and some what of a good test.. will not pound you too bad on bad shots. Greens were nice, smooth and in great condition in late aug 2012.

course was fun over all, not too many forced carries but super nice condition of course.

highly recommend and will get back soon
