Nice day
Tee boxes fairways and greens are in really good shape . Staff and cart girl was great! Pace good.
Historic Executive cotton the heart of New Orleans
I was vacationing in the Big Easy for the week. I had the opportunity to play this course on a Wednesday morning. I went as a single and was paired with a great father - son twosome. This course is a little gem nestled in New Orleans. It is a short executive course but it is in a park. The place is visually stunning. The fairways are in great shape. The greens are fair. Some spotty turf on them here and there. Plenty of opportunities to work on your iron play. It’s not the TPC of New Orleans but it isn’t trying to be. Pace of play was great and the staff was amazing. Play here if you get the chance.
Came for the golf stayed for the beauty
Get your irons out and work on your short game. This historic executive course in Audobon park did not disappoint Old growth Spanish moss oaks and picturesque fairways made this a great day of golf.
No Sand
Fairways and Greens were in decent shape. The bunkers were flooded and had 0 sand as well. Some tee boxes are uneven. Some golfers need to learn ready golf. The pace was super slow and I had to start on the back 9. Staff is friendly.
Good for spending a few hours
Better than average muni.
Greens good, fairways are growing in fairly well.
Excellent for short game work as mostly par 3s, only one 5 at overall par 62
Beautiful course in the city
Loved playing this fun, short course in the city. It had some challenging par 3s and a couoke short par 4s and 5s. It felt like I was in a nature preserve. I recommend playing it if your visiting and don't have time for a full 18. Worth playing!
Great value for the price.
Can’t beat it for the price. Lots of par 3s, smallish course. Good fairways, decent greens. Needs work on bunkers but otherwise great value.
Always high quality
High quality golf even after several days of rain. Grounds crew was working hard all day but wasn’t difficult to play around them. Greens in great condition, but they had not cut the tops off since the rain so rolled slow. Otherwise 5 stars
Over packed and Totally Unacceptable On-Course Player Management
I was going to give this course a good rating but not after playing here from hole 14 on. Allow me to explain.
After making the turn from 13 to 14, we had a group of four cut in front of a two-some that was in front of us all day. They made the turn from 17 and wanted to play some additional holes so they did so by cutting in front of us. This allowed them to play 14, 15,, 16, & 17 again. Then another group of 4 cut in front of the same two-some again on hole 17 only this time it was 8 drunk clowns.
Then on 18 a walker decided to cut his round short and cut in front of our three-some. I objected but was ignored. Hacked off we teed off and then waited in the fairway and to my total dismay I saw six guys putting out on the 18 green. No clue where the large group came from. There were about 16-20 of them though. We never saw this large group all day. So I left without finishing my round because they were in no hurry to leave the green and we had been out for over 4.5 hours by then.
To say it was backed up and slow would be another understatement. We waited on every tee box because there was no separation. I kind of expected that on what is mostly a par three course but not as bad as this was.
Conditions were OK but the greens had some bare spots, not on all holes but a good majority. The warmup green was in terrible shape as well.
I will say there were plenty of water cans on the course but saw many non-golfers using them and refilling large water bottles. I never saw anyone refilling them though.
