Golfer Reviews
I really enjoy this course.
This is one of the best golf courses in the New Orleans area. Easily one of my favorite courses to play. My children are junior golfers and I would like to see more support from the Audubon Golf Course for junior golfers. This is a pristine golf course with many shorter hole opportunities - perfect for younger golfers to really fine tune their newly learned skills. I would recommend at least a 50% discount for High School Varsity golfers and younger juniors who attend golf classes. Maybe offer a Weekend special after 1:00 pm to juniors/parents and once a month place age appropriate tee locations on the fairways (marked age 7-9, 10-12) This would really show that Audubon Golf gives back to the community and cares about youth golfers who are the future of the game.
Very scenic course, short, nice layout.
The course has a putting green but no chipping allowed which is ridiculous because if u miss the green your ball sinks down in thick 2.5" grass and is hard to gauge w/o a little practice. No driving range so whatever swing u woke up with that day takes a few holes to figure out. A quick pace of play so u better hurry because the group behind u is already firing at the green before u are in your cart. I guess because this is NO and they want to start partying ASAP. Also, carts on path only? So u would probably play quicker walking. Overall a good experience and feel u should score good given that the course is a short par 68.
Par is 62 for this course.
Audubon Park was in excellent shape when we played, late on an occasionally rainy Monday morning. Course has 4 par 4's, 2 par 5's, and the rest are 3's. Lots of water and sand. Great place to focus on the short game. Greens were a tad slow, but who says that's not a challenge. Will play it again.
challenging
a small course that is very challenging. i used every club in the bag.
Beautiful
This is a very Short but beautiful golf course. Perfect if you do Not have that much Time...
The course offers Great views and a Good Mix of challenging and relatively Easy holes...
Great Fun
The course was in great shape the views around the course are awesome! We use to play this course before the improvement and it really is a great value.
Beautiful, short course.
I played with my 11 year-old son. The short length of the course is perfect for a kid. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. We had a great outing and will be back for many more.
Well maintained
Short course, which challenges your short game. Fairways and greens were well maintained. Sand traps in good condition. Only issue is slow play. Better to play in the afternoon. Although it would be hotter, pace would probably be better.
Nice course,well maintained
Course is well kept (cart path only for entire course), the older lady in the clubhouse wasn't super friendly but she was cordial for the most part. Course as it states sits in a park so you will have plenty of foot traffic and noise but none was distracting enough to complain about. Would definetly recommend this course for anyone in the New Orleans area.
Pretty place
Nice exec course. Well worth the stroll played from the gold tees
Still one of the best executive length courses in USA
This great course in the heart of New Orleans is a superb test, well maintained, and loads of fun. Plus, watching the college girls jog around you in the park ain't bad, either!
This round was great, but the greens were slower and less consistent than normal, making the grain a huge factor and making the putting very hard. Not sure why, as in the past these have been some of the best greens in South Louisiana. It was also backed up pretty badly on the back nine, making the round slower than usual. I have played this course during the week in about 2 to 2 1/2 hours, but this time it took right at 4.
Typical day in the life of an uptown round of golf
Playing at this course has always been so Nola to me, which i enjoy; with the oak trees, people jogging around, the zoo across the way, and even a wedding being set up when we were playing.
With that said though the actual condition of the course while not terrible is definantley not 4.5 stars that they tout. Greens were ok but very spotty. Many bad and patched spots along with what seemed like different kinds of grasses.
While I would recommend this course to anyone, I have played this course before when it was in far better shape.
Course is always in great condition
This is an executive, par 62, layout. The course is very well maintained and is an interesting walk or ride through a state park, Audubon Park. The fees are very reasonable and your round can be completed in 2 to 3 hours depending upon how booked the course is.
Great value and nice place to play.
The pro shop staff is to be desired. There was an issue with golf now not paying the course. so i was told that if she let me out that I was playing for free (except I had paid). She did let me go, but she is loud and that was their own issue not mine. bThis course is always maintained well. The greens are true and the course is fair. It is a short course so you can play in a reasonable time.
THE COURSE IS SHORT,BUT ENTERTAINING
OVERALL THE COURSE WAS IN GOOD SHAPE THE ONLY ISSUE WAS 6 OR 7 GREENS NEEDED SOME WORK MAINLY SEEDING DUE TO PATCHES OF NO GRASS ON THEM.
Gorgeous Course
Best kept secret among courses in the New Orleans area
REALLY ENJOYED THE COURSE. GREAT TUNE UP FOR MY IRON PLAY.
COURSE IS IN GREAT SHAPE. GREENS ARE FAST AND WILL TAKEN CARE OF.
