PGA WEST Greg Norman Course

The overall quality of the course was sub-standard. Greens were very slow and fairways as well as tee boxes were burnt and/or worn out.

Pace of play and friendliness of the staff were top.

We would recommend that you play other courses in the area which were much better.

These were the slowest greens we played in the four weeks we spent in California

Great day overall had a slow group in front of us killing the pace of play until we skipped the 9th hole to get in front of them per Marshall request. After that it was smooth sailing. These greens will humble you quickly so hit the putting greens before the round all in all a must play

Turned up and the staff are all incredibly friendly. As it was middle of the day I was off on my own but caught the group in front by the 2nd hole and they invited me to join on the 3rd as they were held up by 3 groups in front of them!! Incredibly friendly members and had a good chat the whole way round. Would have been good to get through the 4 ball holding up everyone else, but the company and course was phenomenal so didn’t put a dampener on the day. Shame the bar closed at 4:30 as there was a few of us in there enjoying a beer afterwards.

Greens were lightning and true, fairways were immaculate and staff were all friendly. Clubhouse and practice facilities are all very well setup!!

Tee boxes were in generally good shape, some bare spots. The fairways can be patchy and very firm on some holes, ie you're not really taking a divot. The layout is great. The course feels like it plays longer due to some of the pinched fairway landings for the tee shot. The greens, however, were EXCELLENT. By far the best greens I have putted on in the Palm Desert area, definitely the best of the PGA West public courses. They were pretty firm, hard to find your pitch marks....and rolled very fast and true. Hardly any bouncing. The greens alone are worth the round. Pace of play was decent for a late morning weekend round, 4.5 hours, with moderate waiting.

It was our first time playing this course...it is some what challenging...the course layout is great, love the water and even the bunkers...some holes have at least 15 bunkers...but it was fun. We loved it.

First time here, employees were very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful clubhouse and practice facility. Starter gave some pointers. Pace of play was 4hrs and some change on Memorial day. Water and ice machine. Carts were clean and comfy, very nice gps as well. Course had maybe, 1 brown spot. Course was immaculate. Oh yeah, 50bucks at 1pm, couldn’t beat that with a baseball bat! Thanks to everyone who is employed here, for a great time!

The course is beautiful. A few of the holes need better directions to follow in a cart to get to them. Overall the course was very nice and for the most part player friendly.

Only reason we rated the off course amenities is because it’s always closed

Course was in decent shape. Several Fairways were starting to get thin and burned out. Greens were very good rolling around 11 and rolling true. Course layout was good, a few holes look the same as others. Would play this course again

Overall course condition was fantastic. My son and I played 3 PGA West courses and Norman course was by far in best condition, from tees to greens! Staff friendliness made the experience that much more special. Very friendly and informative.
