PGA WEST Greg Norman Course

Normally this course is beautiful. It is a great layout and staff is fantastic. The course however now should not have been open it was fully scalped and no grass in sight the delay in opening the Stadium course should not have kept this open. I have never played a course in such poor condition.

I loved putting these greens, like a pool table.

Aesthetically speaking the fairways were brown but that did not affect ball contact

What hurt my game was the extreme steepness of the sand traps around the greens. I’d play here again, but put a little more attention to course management of my targets to avoid sand and water.

I played the Greg Norma course in the afternoon, pace of play was decent, a little slow after a while.

I played as a single and was paired with two others. it made for a good round.

The course had just been scalped which helped with roll on my drive.

The course is well bunkered and the greens have subtle inclinations making it challenging to read at first.

Should have been advised beforehand that they hadn’t completed over seeding and fairways werebrown and dry. Also pace of play on back nine was brutal. Sometimes 3 groups on tee box.

The course was rock hard, front nine took 2hrs and 35 minutes, on one of the par 5 there were 2 groups at the tee box, 2 groups on the fairway and 1 group on the green. How does that happen with nine minutes between tee times . Marshall came by and said we were right on time yet GPS said on the 4th hole we were already 22 minutes behind . We waited 5 to 10 minutes on every hole. They should pay the customer to play there.

This has to be the worst conditions I have seen in a course in a long time. Not a patch of grass in the fairway and greens are harder than concrete. Pace of play was extremely slow!! Unlike anything I have seen from a PGA West course before.

Unfortunately we played the course which desperately needed re-seeding. All fairways were brown, thin (no grass whatsoever) and the greens seemed like they were plastic. If the course conditions were anywhere near what the pictures show, it could have been good. Also got stuck behind a couple of two-somes (how did two-somes get out on Thanksgiving) and then the Marshall said we should pass them. Only to get stuck behind two very slow groups who took anywhere from 5-10 practice swings; lined up 1 foot tap ins etc. $62 was way too much for the conditions but like I said, perhaps next Jan when we are back I will see what the conditions and price (value is important) are like and decide if it is worth it.

Really fun course with a variety of different holes. I will definitely play this again.

Do not go now. pay high price and they have scalped ALL the grass to the sand. BROWN all. It was not PGA west quality!!!!!

This course was disappointing due to their botched overseeding plan. Poor playing conditions were not communicated and thus very disappointing. I would rather have played another one of the great courses of the valley than waste my time here. I am sure it is a great track when in good shape but it really was not fair or expected of a course of this calibre and reputation not to warn people of the sub par conditions. Greens played well but the rest of the course was a bit of a goat track. If looking at this course you should wait until it gets back in shape.
