The golf course is in great shape but still a lot of unfinished houses, pro-shop, and convention center.

Last week of September fairways and greens were perfectly green and very good condition

Course was very scenic and a good course for occasional golfer. Played midday 3:20 minutes for 18 holes

I almost didn’t book SilverRock because of the 70% thumbs-up rating and some of the older negative reviews. Forget all that and go experience this course for yourself!

This is a top-notch golf course. The scenery is incredible, the course was in great shape, and the layout is challenging, fun, and memorable. Yes, there’s some construction around the property, but it didn’t take away from the golf experience at all.

If you’re on the fence because of the rating or older reviews, don’t be. Book it and play it. I’m glad I did, and I’d absolutely play SilverRock again. Great course!

One of the most scenic, plush courses I’ve ever played. Immaculate greens and fairways. Very challenging, with a lot of water, narrow fairways and very deep bunkers, so expect a few more strokes… There is some construction and renovations ongoing around some areas, but it doesn’t impact the beauty of the course. Worth every penny. 👍

It had been about eight years since I first played Silver Rock, the courses was amazing, all new to me, I was surprised of the construction still going on but it didn’t interfere with our round, this course is one I will definitely play every trip to the desert, hopefully they don’t over price a round of golf like the rest of these courses out here!!!!!

This course has the potential to be the #1 public course in Palm Springs California. The layout is fantastic, you absolutely cannot beat the price which is really great because a lot of the local tracks do not offer any value. The staff are absolutely top notch. It was our first time playing this course and we have been playing in Palm Springs since 2015. We will most definitely be back.

Course was well maintained. The staff was very nice and friendly. Provided us with a small cart cooler with ice cold waters and fresh iced face towels to cool us down throughout our game on the Course. The Course have many spectacular views of the mountains and beautiful native territories. Challenging Course but had an amazing experience.

The course is gorgeous. The solitude and magnificent at least for us. Silver mountains green grass and blue skies! No houses! The way golf should be!

I have played the course once before over a decade ago and wanted to go back to see how my game measured up this time around. I found that no progress was made in completing standard amenities like a clubhouse etc. It still feels like the course is being built - only the front nine was open and as you played through those nine, you are reminded by the empty shells of a would-be clubhouse and hotel of what it could and should be. I was very disappointed to not be able to play all 18 holes and would not have were it more obvious in the Golfnow registration that only 1-9 was open for play. I might come back but with so many golf choices in the area, why wait for this course to fulfill its potential, if ever?

I will give lots of props to the staff who were very friendly and accommodating. They did their best to make golfers feel welcome and supported when none of the infrastructure was there to help in the attempt. The starter, Mike, was particularly helpful and the cart staff did a great job too.

The back 9 was closed, the play was extremely slow for being the fourth group off, played front side twice, a group just starting was put off in front of us.

SilverRock has a great layout, which makes the poor management even more disappointing.

The biggest issue was that nobody told us before we paid that the greens had just been punched and that only the front 9 was open. That should have been disclosed before taking payment.

I was also charged $45 for a non-golfer rider—the same price I paid to play. The woman at the front desk said my rider was “taking away a cart” from another golfer, yet I was sent out as a single. That explanation made no sense and was honestly embarrassing.

I also passed two marshals sitting in their carts looking at their phones who never bothered to help me locate a ball.

The only bright spot was the cart staff. They were friendly, cleaned my clubs, and even offered us extra water as we were leaving.

It’s a shame because the course itself is fun to play, but poor communication, questionable policies, and inattentive staff made for a disappointing experience.

First and foremost, this is going to be a really nice course in 3-5 years. I did book on Golfpass and unfortunately I was not aware that only the front 9 was open and you needed to play it twice. This was the problem. 10 minutes between 4-somes but when you completed the front they squeezed you in people just teeing off which created a 5+ hour round.

William and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel well taken care of from start to finish. The course was in great condition and offered a perfect mix of challenge and fun. The scenery and views throughout the round were absolutely beautiful and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone visiting the area and looking for a great day of golf.

Staff insulted my entire team asking if we have ever played golf before…. We have been playing for 20 years and told pace of play was horrible .. never insult players especially when we were back to back with the group in front of us. Shame on them. Cart broke down multiple times. No amenities, its a trailer for everything. Everyone except the cart guys were rude. Starter and marshall were horrible. Will never come back and will make sure people know not to come.

This course was under Repair for multiple months on the front line and it was in the worst shape. I have ever seen it since I began playing it years ago. There was sod buckling around the greens where they had repaired or enlarged greens and the course was so dry. It was such a disappointment. I can’t believe that they have let this course get in such disrepair!

They’re now working on the back nine and I hope that someone in the city office will step in for a review and oversight.

Back nine closed so we had to play the front nine twice. This was not disclosed when I made the tee time. Had I known this I outdone not have played this course.
