SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Almost beat the heat!

WE started at 9:50 which gave us nice temperatures through the first 12 holes. Started to go up a couple of degrees each hole after that. Hit 94 by the time we finished. Course was nice, lots of very large bunkers that need to be avoided. Conditions were very good. Greens not very fast but true. Back nine has been changed since our first visit here many years ago. Still enjoyed it but the changes made it seem less likely a place that would have held the Bob Hope Classic. The views around the course are very nice as well.

Marshall is garbage!

Playing as a foursome with my wife and another couple. Marshall tells us we need to pick it up after two holes. The group behind us is hitting their second shot on a par five while we ahead to hole number 3. This is a par three that he then proceeds to watch all four of us hit and then follow us to the green. Proceeds to tell me we should play in three and a half hours on a weeken with a tee time of 9:24. I told him an avers round of golf is four to five hours and he said no. We were not hold up the course. Felt harassed and will never go back.

This property is a complete mess.

There are too many good courses and facilities to waste your money on Silver Rock La Quinta. All the construction that was intended to create a resort around the Course have been abandoned in a half-built condition. There is no clubhouse other than a portable trailer. This should have all been disclosed on the Tee Off site. What a waste of money.

Beautiful course but EXTREMELY windy. However, not pleasant to be driving through all the bankrupt structures. Too much money for that.
