SilverRock Resort
About
SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

This was a great par 3! This is zoomed in so you dont quite get the percetion of the distance. A solid 175 or so, over water and well protected. Photo submitted by ThatGolfGuy on 09/26/2016

When will the Construction be completed.
Loved the course and friendly staff. The unfinished buildings everywhere take away from the scenic views.
Better second time
After playing here last week, today's round was so much better in terms of pace of play. We never had a group press us all round and caught up to the group in front on #15. Course conditions were pretty identical as last week. Staff still super friendly.
We love this course and enjoy watching the progress surrounding the area. We have played it many times over the last 5 years. This year we introduced a new couple to this course on Monday AM with a 7:20 tee time. We teed off on time and noticed there was no one in front of us. By the time we reached Hole # 2 (which was 12 minutes after we teed off) a marshal came out to us as we are chipping into #2 green and told us we need to speed up and catch the group in front of us. This was extremely irritating because we were already playing ahead of pace. By the time we got to Hole #6 - which was only 1 hr 12 min into our round, another marshal told us to pick it up. Again, as a foursome we played well ahead of time - and finished our round in 4 hrs 7 mins - due to 2 bathroom breaks and a drink cart purchase. We rarely saw the foursome behind us and never saw anyone in front of us. This was beyond a pleasant experience for any of us and we doubt we will play this course again. To pay an above average green fee, and unable to enjoy the round or beauty of the course, because of the constant prodding - felt like we were a herd of cattle. It totally decimated the experience for us all.
beautful
Beautiful course, excellent weather and pace of play was good
Nice course, friendly staff, slow play
Great location tucked up against the mountains, fantastic course conditions matched with incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Only problem is the slow play even though the marshals didn't think groups were slow. We waited on virtually every shot for the entire round. Perhaps tee time intervals are too short or??? Would not recommend based on the slow play.
Great course. Minimal amenities if that matters to you
The course is fantastic. In tremendous shape and right in the shadow of the mountains. There is no clubhouse (it’s a mobile home trailer) and it’s largely surrounded by an unfinished housing project, which takes away from the aesthetics a little, but again, the course itself is spectacular. There is a small bar/grill that is completed, which was nice.
Thanks so much for the great review, u314162404750. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing SilverRock Resort.
Excellent desert course
Solid round of golf, excellent conditions, greens were, faster than I thought. They need to build the new clubhouse ASAP because there were basically no amenities at all in the construction fence is unsightly.
nice , but....
Nice course but did not compare to other courses played this week . No clubhouse, range a long cart ride from 1st tee, construction in progress around the course. Had some beautiful holes close to the mountains but a 4 out of 5.
Not as good as the past
Silver Rock is beautiful and a good challenge, unfortunately I thought the condition was not as good as the past. Greens rolled well but lots of unfixed ball marks, traps looked like a muni with little sand at times- pay close attention if little sand under your ball
good track
Couple unfair holes but otherwise great. Greens bumpy
Hello, JeffSpere. Thank you for visiting us at SilverRock Resort. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Under construction
I think this course was preferred before they went under construction. Currently, there is no clubhouse. The pro shop is in a trailer. The pace of play was quite slow and it was overpriced for what there was to offer. I think if they can get the construction done we would return, but there are no amenities and not a lot of appeal. Apparently they have been under construction since 2020 and don’t have an idea of when construction will be done. The staff were friendly though, and we still enjoyed the course but there are a lot of other options out there
