About
SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Another great round at SilverRock
It was almost a year since my brother and I played the course. The weather was in fact perfect even though it had dipped a bit by 18. We played with two Desert Rats who were great. The course, while tough, is a challenge requiring thought and something we don’t have, local knowledge. But our partners were helpful. Second time we finished 18 in the dark.
Mixed Bag
Played here each of the last 4 yrs. Seems like the surrounding construction is moving very slowly- like not much has changed in a year. Def takes away from the beauty. The course is beautiful and maintained well. Gets lots of play evidenced by all the high divot areas. They totally run a tight ship here- to a point where the nice rangers are just too much in your face. Gives that overly corporate feel which we hate on a golf course.

Too much Construction
This was one of my favorite courses and we could usually find a decent price, but it has way too much construction going on which took away from the courses beautiful scenery. I imagine once the construction is gone the price will rocket up with the high end hotel going in.

Design changes are misfit
Having been a La Quinta resident for over 10 years, I regularly played Silverrock because I loved the original design of the course. A great mixture of challenging and less difficult holes which made the course fun for many players, but always a good and fair test of golf. The changes done some 5 years ago don‘t fit the course and in particular the 18th is a disgrace for a course that formerly was a PGA Tour venue. Last but not least I have never found Silverrock in such bad condition with real bumpy greens. It seems that the priorities have changed, with all efforts targeted to the future hotels and residences, neglecting the maintenance of the course. What a pity!

Must play course in La Quinta
Beautiful location along side the mountains, the course is challenging and well maintained. Definitely comparable to the higher priced PGA West courses.

PGA West - Silver Rock???
What will save thus beautiful challenging golf course? Pro shop is still in a trailer. Course surrounded by unfinished homes. The golf course is still epic. The staff are professional and resort level accommodating. Greens are a little patchy (reason for 4*).

Beautiful Target Golf
Beautiful setting. Enjoyed the round but the pace of play was really tough. Waited on every hole - even after the Marshall asked the group in front of us to pick it up. Challenging, but worth the challenge!
