Course, range and layout and are excellent. However, the course is under construction. So there is no clubhouse or restaurant. Range is somewhat far from check-in and not a huge amount of amenities.

The course is in good condition with some pretty holes and fun layout but ruined by yards and yards of construction fencing with flapping canvas and blowing dust.

The construction is out of control and that includes the pro shop. It looks like it will be years before it is all finished with two hotels and a bunch of villas planned.

Overall there are better options in the area

Can not understand how people pay this much for this inconvenient poorly planned course. Dusty country trails like 4by4 off-roading to get to the range and first tee followed by a journey to return after 18?

Course itself is a treat but not so much everything else.

Green side bunkers are lacking sand on some holes and plenty on others; inconsistent hole to hole. #1 was very hard panned; #9 better. Some greens had spots with bad turf and not sure why they would place pin in those positions. Lots of long carries required on 2nd shots over waste areas or bunks to reach greens. Need to be able to hit a high ball to reach and hold many of the greens; little opportunity to run ball up makes for a challenging course.

The greeter and the cart guys are great,

The starter is a real jerk as well as the marshal. He really ruined our experience by following us for 2 holes just cause we were behind by 3 minutes and kept talking to us about how we need to keep pace despite it was the groups in front of us.

Our team does not play slow and we finished in 3 hours and 40 minutes so clearly it is not a slow pace.

We were not treated well and for what we paid this is not a course I would suggest playing.

I would have rather gone back to PGA West and play one of their courses again.

Awesome course. Awesome conditions. Lots of construction but does not affect your game. Play on the weekend to avoid construction noise that others complain about.

Played 3 times in the last 7 days or so. Course has great views. Layout is quite challenging. A couple of par 5’s require an excellent tee shot in order to attempt to clear a water hazard. Less than perfect means a really short layup followed by a very long 3rd to get to the green. This seems a bit too punitive for the average golfer or shorter hitter. Pace of play on the first 2 rounds was very good, but this last round we waited on every shot from the 9th hole onwards. Maybe some day the construction around SilverRock will be completed. Even to get a permanent clubhouse would be nice.

Played there on February 10, 2023 at around 7:00am (I believe the 2nd group out). Course was great – we knew in advance that the facilities were lacking, but the course, range and food were all excellent (as was the starter, the pro shop staff and kitchen staff). The big problem was the marshal. We teed off with a frost warning for 3 holes so cart-paths only – and were given the green light to tee off #1 when the group in front were already putting.

On the third green – with nobody behind us for at least a hole, the marshal came at us aggressively. Extremely rude and, quite frankly a total jerk. We had 3 scratch golfers in the group and maybe a 10 handicap – we’re not slow by any stretch. We did not change our pace and finished in 3:45. We were warned by the starter that the marshal was “prickly” but I hate to say it but I will put Silverrock at the bottom of my list because of this experience.

We played Stadium, Nicklaus Tournament, Celebrity and Desert Willow Firecliff. All were steady and had friendly but firm marshals. I think Silverrock could learn something from them.

White the total time would be acceptable the grioup in front was 2 holes behind which caused us to finish in the dark. I adhere to keeping up to the group in front not time on the golf course. A marshall may have made the difference. Would love to play this course again on 19 holes of light.

Very challenging layout. Will be great when the amenities are completed. Bring some layers as the closing holes are in the shade of the mountain. The starter Chuck is awesome.

Course is well-maintained. Even though there is a lot of construction going around the golf course it did not affect play at all. I can’t wait to see the completion of the clubhouse, restaurant and homes that are being built.
