SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Silver rock construction site

The course was always my favorite place to play in PS until someone made the decision to redesign the back!! What a shame!!! Now we have a 300 yd finishing hole…and many other issues.

Now it feels like playing golf in a construction site.

My recommendation is to NOT play this course for 3 years when the construction is over!!!

Course is in good condition overall considering the construction going on around it

Front 9 plays well; back 9 is a joke for average golfers. Blind shots from the tee; greens very undulating & hard to hold - very discouraging .

Golf shop staff very helpful dealing with a starting time issue.

Played this course last 3 years. Overall good condition. A couple quirky holes but overall pretty good. A lot of construction finally happening so some noise from that going on. Worth playing if you ate in La Quints.

Beautiful track

The course is nestled against the base of mountains, with challenging holes, especially the par 5’s. If you are playing in the winter months , like Dec/Jan/Feb you need to tee off by 1230 to get the round in , since the sun drops behind the mountains by 415pm.
