About
SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Construction on course
We played SilverRock before all the construction. This time the construction took away from the serene beauty of the course. We would wait until there is less construction to play again.

The course has a nice wide open layout. It’s good for those who spray it around. Fairways, greens in good condition

A little disappointed in the COVID policy
We were a group of three and expected to have someone join us. The starter forced the single to abandon his cart and move to one of ours. We pushed back but were told that was the policy. Seems unreasonable as COVID cases increase not to allow more seperation. Ended up the single had just traveled from Canada by air a couple days prior. Really nice guy but next time I would refuse to ride with someone I don't know.

I guess I have to rate this course
I'm being hounded daily by Golfpass to rate this course. I already have but they just keep emailing me to rate it again.
Really not worth the price due to all of the construction around the course. Several holes have funky layouts. Lots of other courses in the area to play before this one.

Tough Course and surrounded by construction
This course has lots of challenging holes with some strange layouts. Overall course condition was great but be warned that there are several major construction projects going on at the course including building two hotels, a clubhouse, and lots of property being prepared for homes and condos. The temporary pro shop is a long cart drive over dirt paths to the driving range and first tee. The course marshals keep a close eye on you and are not afraid to tell you to speed up even if you are having to wait on every shot. Overall not the best experience for golf in this area. When the hotels are finished this place will be a zoo. This is NOT a typical resort style course for occasional golfers.
