About

SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Because of all the construction course is not fun to play. Also signage terrible got lost getting back to clubhouse. My feeling Arnie is turning over in his grave due what they have done. Would not recommend anyone to play this course very disappointed

Excellant Golf

Course was absolutely beautiful! The mountain scape seems unrealistic and the fairways run right along the base of the mountain. Some Challanging holes which make the golf interesting! It's a bit under construction and no clubhouse. I would have to say that was the only downside to this course.

Under construction but great golf

All of the golf holes are beautiful and in excellent condition. . The construction around the course is an unfortunate eyesore. Very strange distance between the driving range and the course.

Cart was SLOW, GPS was Poor quality.

Very good course to play (as long as you have played it before). The golf cart was amazingly SLOW. The GPS graphics where Poor (at best). Which normally I would not care about, but it was my first time playing the course. So we were forced to drive ahead and scout out the layout of the fairway, as there are many Hazards (Lakes/Bunkers/Canals and ravines) to avoid, and plan your shots for.

Our group was slow to begin with (High Handicappers) who were too polite to play Ready Golf. Adding to the fun.

Greens are fast and true. many with False fronts.

The course must have been rerouted, as there is a new clubhouse being built, and 18 ends in the middle of nowhere.

I did break 80 and would play the course again,

Silver rock construction site

The course was always my favorite place to play in PS until someone made the decision to redesign the back!! What a shame!!! Now we have a 300 yd finishing hole…and many other issues.

Now it feels like playing golf in a construction site.

My recommendation is to NOT play this course for 3 years when the construction is over!!!

Front 9 plays well; back 9 is a joke for average golfers. Blind shots from the tee; greens very undulating & hard to hold - very discouraging .

Played this course last 3 years. Overall good condition. A couple quirky holes but overall pretty good. A lot of construction finally happening so some noise from that going on. Worth playing if you ate in La Quints.
