SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

The front 9 was closed for repairs. Is to open 8/23/25. Lots of dead spots in the fairways on the back 9.. I use to love this course until they redesigned the back nine. I can't recommend it given the fairway conditions and only having 9 holes open. There are other courses in the area that are in better shape.

A fun Morning

I was surprise to learn that the front 9 was close and had to play the back 9 twice, (I missed the notice).

the weather was just nice, war but not to hot. the course is challenging with danger lurking on all sides, but really fun to play.

the pace was reasonably good finished in a little over three hours.

Altogether good enough, I am taking my son and grandson on Friday.

Unfortunate surprise

I got this reservation from GolfNow. It did not indicate that 9 holes were closed so you played the other nine twice. I am disappointed with GolfNow not the course for giving no indication. I would not have gone to Silver Rock if I had known.

It does indicate that, you just missed it unfortunately. Always keep an eye out for any addendum alerts on page prior to payment page when booking. You definitely have to consciously be aware & looking specifically for it, as it does not jump out of the page & grab attention, fairly nondescript, can be easily overlooked. This course is never below $100/round minimum though, so at least you got a fair deal despite the surprise disappointment...if that's any consolation.

Course has seen better days

This used to be one of our favorite tracks in the PS area. Went there last week and it was in pretty bad shape. The front nine was closed so we had to play the back twice. Greens were in pretty bad shape, would not play here again.

Was only able to play the Back 9 as Front was being redone but course for July was in very good shape. Really nice stretch of holes especially 10 & 11. 2 very nice Par 3's over water included. Good quality golf cart with GPS. Ample water for a very hot 40 degree+ C day.

out of abundance of caution & proper etiquette, as course is in US, Please include conversion factor to F° when posting in C°, so Americans don't get lost. They see 40° & may show up in sweaters, topped with fleece windbreaker & long johns under non-breathable insulated pant. Could be a dangerous situation.

Definitely a tough course. Lots of trouble and huge bunkers. Bring plenty of balls, will be a long day if you’re not in the fairway. Currently back 9 only and quite a few green punched but for the money can’t beat it

Allude front nine closed prior to booking completion !

As already many of us know Silver Rock is worth a visit.

We played for the third time over the years this course on our holiday visit in the valley. A lot of constructiin work going on which does not impede to enjoy the nice and challenging layout. Enjoyable greens.

However, i always find it disappointing to play the same holes twice on one day. We booked Silver Rock, and only after the reservation confirmation there was a remark at the bottom that the first nine holes were closed.

Disappointing, this should be mentioned prior to completion of the booking.

Somewhat poor communication !!

It was only 9 holes know where on golf now does it say 9 holes I ask them at the course and they said that is what it's Advertised at, but it's clearly not.

Back 9 only

I was only able to play the back nine, front nine being redone but the course was in amazing shape in june 2025. Nice desert landscaping, lots of water, desert areas. Tough but fair. Front nine ambiance will be compromised at least until they finish the construction of the houses bordering the course. Pro shop is also temporary at the moment, but the rates are fair based on all of these factors.

Only the back nine is open to play

It’s a construction zone and getting around is lengthy and difficult. You cannot get a coupon if you only play nine holes, I would not recommend playing there at this time.
