SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Horrible wind!
We played this course on 4/1/25, and this is no joke. The wind was horrible and made the course totally unplayable. 40mph gusts, 20+ continuous wind. We played 4 1/2 holes and quit. No refund available from Silver Rock. Will Golf Now give us a credit??

Shame about the new clubhouse
Really nice layout but in my opinion spoilt by the crazy massive size of some of the bunkers.
Really good greens and fairways superb.

So Sad
Over the years we would look forward playing SilverRock as one of our premium courses. They were owned by the city or county and did a great job. They sold it to a developer. They changed several holes to get buildings and a hotel on the grounds. The developers have gone bankrupt, maybe even the second one. Building are not even half built and continue to deteriorate. The course conditions are pitiful. It is such a shame, they really had something great of few years back. Now we won't ever bother going back. Sorry to see.

Tough track
Excellent layout and very challenging, with deep bunkers and difficult greens. Beautiful scenery that is marred somewhat by lots of construction activity that has seemingly been stalled for quite some time. Overall this is one of the best deals in the area, but it's definitely a difficult track for mid- and high-handicappers.
