About
Balbirnie Park Golf Club serves as a prime example of a traditional parkland design with a layout that follows the natural contours of the land very closely. The gently rolling landscape lends some interest to the course but the undulations are invitingly gentle rather than being overly difficult. Long hitters will really shine on the golf course since it greatly rewards straight shots with some distance. Golfers should beware though, it is a tricky layout that punishes errant shots with thick rough and densely wooded areas. Balbirnie Park Golf Club finishes with what is arguably the most challenging hole. This par 5 requires two strokes, both blind to the hole, to lay-up before a heavily protected putting surface situated in front of the clubhouse. There are bunkers to the right and a large tree to the left as well as a burn that runs along the entire front of the green.

Lovely experience
Visiting Scotland and wanted to play this course as once attended a wedding at Balbirnie House. The welcome from the shop was warm as was the reception in the clubhouse lounge. Food and drink was very reasonable. The course was terrific - great greens that were receptive and fairways in good condition. The reviews I read suggested that the fairways would be tight but my wife and I found them more than ample. Although the length of the course isn't long, it feels longer with many of the greens elevated. If back in the area we would definitely play this course again.
Brilliant Course
Played on 01 Aug 2021. Course in brilliant condition. Greens very good and fast and fairways well kept. Few tees showing wear but I cant grumble at all for £15 for the round booked on golf now. I'd definitely play again when in Scotland next. Brilliant course.

Excellent day out with friends old and new at Balbirnie Park. Course was in excellent condition and weather was superb. Will most certainly be back once again later in the season.
Balbirnie Golf
Thoroughly enjoyed my golf experience. The course was in great condition, greens fantastic and the surrounding areas beautifully manicured. The staff in the Pro Shop were helpful and friendly. The Clubhouse was clean, well set out and the lady behind the bar friendly and helpful. Certainly go back .

Tidy little course
Big variety of holes, with both 9s being very different. It's not a big course, but intricate and interesting. Greens are good, and the general condition is decent. I recommend if you're passing through.
Pleasantly surprised
For the price we paid we were surprised at how great it was. Fairways and greens very well manicured.
There were some blind shots from the tee as the course is undulating. But for me it was not hilly.
It was fully booked but still managed a sub 3:30 time.
We had a great round and would not hesitate to book again.
