Balbirnie Park Golf Course
About
Balbirnie Park Golf Club serves as a prime example of a traditional parkland design with a layout that follows the natural contours of the land very closely. The gently rolling landscape lends some interest to the course but the undulations are invitingly gentle rather than being overly difficult. Long hitters will really shine on the golf course since it greatly rewards straight shots with some distance. Golfers should beware though, it is a tricky layout that punishes errant shots with thick rough and densely wooded areas. Balbirnie Park Golf Club finishes with what is arguably the most challenging hole. This par 5 requires two strokes, both blind to the hole, to lay-up before a heavily protected putting surface situated in front of the clubhouse. There are bunkers to the right and a large tree to the left as well as a burn that runs along the entire front of the green.

Lovely Course
Played this gem of a course today with my friend. Greens were absolutely fantastic. Beautiful narrow tree-lined fairways reminiscent of the style of Augusta. Undulating fairways and interesting elevation changes make for the need carefully select the correct club on approach shots. The 18th is a truly memorable Par 5 with a real risk/reward second shot. Will definitely visit again.
We got this course on a hot deal This course is excellent value for money and in great condition.
The staff are very friendly and when they noticed 2 of us did not have caddy cars offered them free of charge
Definitely a must play if you are in the kingdom
Balbirnie Golf Club
Enjoyed a fabulous day out at Bilbirnie GC. The course was in great condition and the weather was excellent. The course was beautifully manicured and we were welcomed by very friendly staff in the Professional Shop. It was an annual visit and I can highly recommend this very friendly reasonably priced course to anyone. Robert Cooper MBE
Our day at Balbirnie
Course is obviously good but we picked the worst day for rain. It rained for 18 holes solid, soaked to skin, but because I invited visitors to play kept thinking it would cease but never did. Water on greens etc but we carried on and when we came off we were the only two cars in sight and noone else playing. Jokingly said to pro we should get discount for that and he laughed. Would love to bring the visitors back to play in better weather as I feel they would enjoy it better obviously. Walking through water not enjoyable but thought the course might have been closed probably was once we came off which would explain why nobody there.
Unfortunately we picked a very wet day and the hilly undulating course was hard work to walk. Some very interesting holes but a few that were extremely similar Helps to be a straight driver . Pleasant helpful staff and bar amenities we all we could ask for

Lovely golf course with massive greens that where in superb condition play was slow due to 2 groups of 3balls in front but apart from that it was a golf course that I'll be coming back to definitely value for money at £15
Excellent and challenging.
Balbirnie is a great course, it's been on my doorstep for 5 years and I can't believe I've waited so long to play it. For the small cost of £15 I'd probably say it's the best course I've ever played.
This course is a must in Fife
This is a fantastic course to play when on holiday in the Fife area and is great value for money compared to many within this region, the course is in great condition and the welcome in the clubhouse is fantastic.
On a sunny day like we had we all agreed that we would come back again for the 4th time.
Balbirnie Park GC
Having never played Balbirnie GC before, I am pleased to say that I thourghly enjoyed the experience. The course is in excellent condition and the greens are fabulous. I have now found a true little gem of a course and I will certainly be returning soon to repeat the experience. Big well done to the greenkeeping staff who have obviously worked tirelessly to present the course in such good condition.

I'd return here ASAP
Simply the best course I've played so far this year...
Fairways dry and with run, well managed, greens also in great condition, fast and true...
Great course layout, provides a challenge. Great set up with pro shop at hand. Will certainly come back for another shot. Gross 73
Great course
Great course varied holes keeps you thinking greens recently cored but expect the will be fast when complete
Great condition for late Oct
Well layed out parkland course. In very good condition for late October. Fairways excellent. Greens had been airated and most tees not in play but that reflects the VFM for green fees. Lots of blind shots and dog legs so strokesaver recommended. Pro shop staff need to be more customer focused. Clubhouse staff friendly. Overall worth a visit. Good challenge.
Really great golf day
We have played this course many times when on vacation in Scotland and would recommend it to anyone. The condition has always been excellent, the staff is very friendly and helpful and bar persons are great. There are quite a few longish par fours that keep you honest and the par threes are also a challenge with the undulating fairways. If you walk ,you better be in good shape because there are quite a few good inclines on some holes. Give it a go!!!!! You will love this hidden gem.
Great Day Out
What a great golf course. Good test of golf and beautiful surroundings. Course in excellent condition and clubhouse very welcoming with friendly an helpful staff
Course in great condition
Myself and 3 friends found the course in great condition and would definitely play it again. We found it quite undulating and would recommend buggies when playing this course. Got a great bargain at £18 but not sure if it's worth £40/£50.
Hidden gem
Beautiful grounds and a nice walk. Course is difficult the first time you play it. Course knowledge would save you several strokes. Selection of what to hit off each tee and direction is key to success. I hit driver down to a 5 iron. On par three holes I hit 6 iron to 3 wood, winds were a factor.
