Deer Park Golf and Country Club
About
Deer Park Golf and Country Club, considered among Central Scotland's top golf courses, offers a 6,727-yard course that has hosted British Open Qualifiers as well as the Scottish PGA Championship. Facilities include range, putting green, pro shop, showers, locker rooms. Deer Park has earned its rep in the Scottish golf world.
Deer Park Golf and Country Club spans natural parkland. It's a relatively new golf course despite its honors. Peter Allis, Dave Thomas and Peter Clark designed it in 1978. It quickly ascended the Scottish ranks, especially when compared to the century-plus-old courses that fill Scotland.
Deer Park Golf and Country Club offers a whole day's activities, with a health-and-fitness center, 10-pin bowling, bars and restaurants - even weddings, if you want to fit one in between rounds.

Great day first time playing the course.
Course was playable.
The downside was there wasn’t any catering available and the coffee machine was broke.
Great value
Played as a 1 ball mid week
The course was in very good condition so no excuse for my woeful putting
Lovely course
Played on this course for first time, was lively and well maintained, also has great facility’s and great value for money, going to sign up for membership
Great value
Last minute decision to play here half bag of clubs walking. A course of 2 halves picturesque in places don’t let the 1st 9 lull u. Energy will be needed for second half, Overall some nice holes requiring accuracy the rough I would term as very fair few blind approach’s . In my opinion best greens I’ve played on this year subtle slopes. Had wind with & into 278yd with 198 against playing my absolute best
Great course!
Greens was in brilliant condition and ran true. The course itself appears quite simple to the eye, but isn’t without the occasional challenge. Overall really satisfying experience playing this course.
Great value
1st time at deer park but definitely won't be the last, met by a friendly helpful pro ,course was in fantastic condition the few fairways i hit were lovely and the greens were top notch . An easy walk and really easy to find your way around , great value for money and a cheeky birdie on the last to send me home smiling
Course features
Would definitely play this course again every hole was very picturesque and maintained to a high standard
Even with the amount of rainfall the day before we played you would have never known
Highly recommend and great value for money could have easily paid £50+ for a course of this standard
Very Welcoming
Played this course for the 1st time and really enjoyed it. The staff were really incredibly friendly and helpful, other members too.
The course was in great condition and will definitely be back.
Very Good Challenging Course
An extremely warm welcome from starter who explained course layout and advised us of tricky holes on course and who was very efficient on start-times etc. Course was in great condition and greens were of a very good standard. Course was quite long and extremely challenging, it did require quite a degree of fitness to get round though. If you struggle with health I would advise hiring a buggy. People whom we met on course were very friendly and if I lived nearer I would definitely be taking a membership out for this course, can't recommend it any higher than that.
Really enjoyed it.
Considering all the rain we’ve had the course was in great condition. First time playing it and I was impressed. Great price too.
A good mix of different types of holes. I will definitely be back.
Facilities let course down
All winter greens but there had been very heavy rain over the preceding 24-48hrs, pro shop was very welcoming & generally excellent all round. Fairways were in good condition though occasionally quite wet in places. Following our round we visited the really nice & very comfortable lounge which offered a decent range of bar food options with a good choice of draught beers & some very nice single malts at reasonable prices. Where it all fell down was the staffing, there was only one member of staff on the bar - she appeared to be responsible not only for serving the bar but also for making & delivering specialty coffees, taking food orders; delivering these to the kitchen & delivering all cutlery, condiments & food to customers at their tables. The result of this was that for lengthy periods there were no staff to be seen & at one stage there was a queue of eight people standing waiting to be served at the bar. Deer Park is a very nice parkland course (the full greens look very well cared for) with some interesting challenges & our overall experience was relatively positive. I can see myself playing it again in the spring & as such would recommend the golf but I couldn’t in all conscience recommend the clubhouse.
Wasn't told winter greens were in play
Me and my friends thought the course was OK it had some really good views the pro was absolutely fine but didn't mention it was winter greens.the course has a good layout and had some nice holes but be prepared for a long walk, the marking between holes could have been better all in all it was an OK course but we were slightly disappointed(will possibly try next summer and it might be different who knows)
Great tricky course
Very relaxed front nine, easy walking and fairways where lovely as was the greens for this time of year. Back nine was great too, the hills on the 14 and 15 are tough and can certainly wreck a score card but all in all a fantastic course I'm very local so will probably end up a member I enjoyed it that much.
Fog delayed play
Fog delayed play but only by an hour and very nice coffee and rolls while waiting
Sun came out and had a great round great variety of holes and approaches course in great bit of sand on greens as expected but nothing to spoil the round
Thanks guys
Great course
Highly recommend this course. Great facilities and course maintained really well. Can’t beat the price either. We’ll be back!
