About

Holes 18
Type
Style Parkland
Par 70
Length 6036 yards
Slope 124
Rating 69.3

Pumpherston Golf Club, designed by Graeme Webster, offers a superior golfing challenge, including water features over the length of the 6,000-yard, par-70 golf course and R&A-standard greens.

A round at Pumpherston Golf Club begins on Paraffin Young, a 398-yard par 4 that requires a straight drive and attention on hazards surrounding the green: bunkers right, deep rough behind. Hitters unpack long games on Pentlands, the 516-yard par-5 10th, which features a narrow fairway, requiring a straight tee shot; 150 yards from the green, the fairway drops, making a tricky approach. Close the round on Iranapol, another long hole, at 505 yards and par 5, and where water guards the green, meaning that length alone won't help you.

Book a seat in the Pumpherston Golf Club's clubhouse early - and let the clubhouse caterer know about any dietary restrictions, which the staff can work with - and head up for lunch and a drink with views of the golf course.

WEE GEM

Just loved this course, every hole diffrent with perfectly placed bunkers. Course management required on majority of the holes. The greens were immaculate, with big & suttle slopes. There are a few water feature holes with swans & ducks, which i loved but my m8's not so much as balls cost money 😂

We will defo be back, if your close it's a must play. If your new to area 1 of the best to play, Great challange & a great day out 5☆

Pumferston Golf Course

Decent coarse with a good layout.

The fairways were brick hard & needed watered, also there was quite a lot of areas with , ground under repair.

Most greens watered, as they were quite bumpy.

I lot of walking between some holes.

Pumpherston Golf Club

I really enjoyed this course. For my level, there was a great mix of easy and difficult holes. Got caught out with the water hazards more than once but down to not knowing the course. Greens were in great condition. Will definitely be back.

Course in good nick for early May. Greens good, some patches on fairways and tees but nothing to worry about. Shame there's no catering at the moment but we have this issue at many other Scottish courses. Certainly worth the £20 each we paid.
