Niddry Castle Golf Club

About
Niddry Castle Golf Club offers 18 holes of par-70 golf over 5,914 yards, providing a good course for all levels and ability of player. Magnificent vistas provide a glimpse of the Pentland Hills, and the holes all offer their own unique tests and hazards - plus there's a castle smack-dab in the middle. If you can control your shots and manage a solid golf course, then this patch of parkland ought to be on your itinerary for any golf trip to Scotland.
Fire away at Cannons Drive, the Niddry Castle Golf Club's 198-yard par-3 first hole, featuring a green that slopes away. The long hole is the sixth, Castle View, a par-5 524-yarder - pick right or left of the fairway at the tee to avoid sticking yourself behind a large tree for the second shot. Gan Hame, the 18th hole, a par 4 that measures 404 yards, provides a superb finishing hole, with an elevated tee shot to a fairway that features trees on both sides.
If you're going in winter, when the club sees fewer players, Niddry Castle Golf Club offers golf-and-coffee specials.

Niddry Castle
Played Sunday 6th April…clubhouse staff were lovely and did a break down of what felt like every hole 😂 very helpful though with it being first time playing the course. Very quirky front 9, back 9 a bit more standard layout! Greens were in brutal state after being cored week previous! £30 for the round wasn’t great value but would play again if better deals. Enjoyable though and friendly members round the course
Amazing Staff
Amazing welcome, if you want friendly people to speak to and an enjoyable course this ticks all the boxes.
Mix of all sorts
Nice wee course, quite wet for this time of year understandably. Could have been in a little better nick - no warm up facilities and putting green was a mess at the clubhouse. Not too long, but back and forth for some of the holes trying to find the next tee.
Lovely afternoon!
Lovely course...
Tucked away in Winchburgh this is a course which looks straightforward but has
a few challenges..played on a quiet Sat afternoon in Feb...and although it had been
wet..NO winter greens in use..doesnt look too long but testing all the same..
2 x 14 handicaps playing and great value overall..
Original 9 holes still as good as ever, and the newer 9 now complementing..
Staff were lovely, and bacon rolls and cups of coffee tremendous..
Thankyou!
Worth a visit
Course is worth a visit were made to feel very welcome and the lady in the club house looked after us very well. The course has some really good holes and the views are great if you like that thing . We enjoyed the course and would go back.
Niddry Castle
Enjoyed playing the course, the greens were very slow, but overall it was a in good condition for this time of year ...
Great wee hidden gem
Only issue on a fab wee course was following the layout at times. Better signposting would be my only grumble. Great value.
Pleasant Surprise
Really enjoyed playing this course...some of the layout may have been a bit confusing...but good signage keeps you easily on track...some really challenging but enjoyable holes...for both good level and below average golfers...will definitely be back....staff on arrival very friendly and helpful.
Niddry
Great little course, short but still a great challenge
Poor condition
Disappointing condition.
1, Tee boxes very hairy and uneven.
2, Greens very slow (maybe protecting them)
3, General presentation looks untidy.
4, Bunkers poor.
Good budget course
Good course with some difficult holes, greens and fairways not the best On some holes
Absolutely cracking course to play the only down side would b the greens are very slow and could probably do with bein cut a bit shorter to make them a bit faster
Hidden Gem
Great little course in good condition, challenging layout and excellent value for money.
Lovely course
3 of us played as our own course was shut for a charity event . Well impressed with the course and the catering facilities. Will definitely be back.
Nice course - great value
One if not the lowest price 18 hole courses around, not an easy course with some blind greens. Only thing letting it down was the poor condition of some of the greens
Some cracking holes
Course was in excellent condition,a wee hidden gem.will certainly be bak for another game.
