Dalmahoy Hotel, Golf & Country Club - West Course
About
The Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club's shorter golf course is the West Course, which measures 5,168 yards from the white tees. That just makes the par-68 golf course a different kind of test, as it features squeezed fairways and little greens, requiring accurate play. The golf course demands extra accuracy at its end if you're going to find your way around the Gogar Burn's waters.
A round of golf on the Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club's West Course kicks off on Caw Canny, a par 4 that measures 269 yards from the white tees. Coming in at over 10 percent of the course's length is the 13th hole, Lang Dalmahoy, a 536-yard par-5. The final hole is Douglas Hame, a 314-yard par 4.
The Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club offers several stay-and-play packages, as well as golf events and instruction.

Amazing golf course.
I rented clubs from the pro shop. I was so pleased they rwnted me a full set of Taylor made QT10. Great clubs BTW. The course was in spectacular shape. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed talking to the starter "Martin". He was so helpful and kind. I had one of the best days of my life at Dalmohoy. I took lots of pictures. I wish I had more time in Scotland. I wanted to play another round there, but was unable too.
Sunshine day at Dalmahoy
Great day out at Dalmahoy,West Course,on Thursday,,starter and staff very friendly, course was in great condition, tee to greens,a joy to play and value for money, got it with Golf Now,will be back in the future,
Dalmahoy
I played this west course and it was fantastic for me a mid handicap player, I arrived a little early and was told I could play as it wasn’t too busy. The fairways are wide enough and greens play fast, would recommend this to anyone.
Great rental clubs
We stopped to play here while traveling through Scotland. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of rental clubs at Dalmahoy. We had a super fun day. Excellent and friendly staff, we had a no hassle day and really enjoyed ourselves!
Great Hot Deal - don’t know if I would pay much more.
Some of the greens and tees were a bit scruffy but otherwise an enjoyable day out and fair course for high handicap golfers. Staff in pro shop couldn’t have been more helpful.
East Course at Dalmahoy
Was really Disappointed on the East Course Greens and Tees were not Gr8 for the Price we payed..Payed the same price as the West Course was and thought that was the Course we Booked walked over to the West Course and it was Absolutely Beautiful..Will Definitely be booking that Next Time Night and Day..
Truly excellent golf course and overall experience
Course was super. I am an average golfer and enjoyed the wider fairways but still some challenges with course layout and hazards.
Interesting layout and I commend the design.
Lovely conditioned fairways and super greens.
It has a lovely atmosphere.
Great staff. Really attentive and friendly.
I hope to be back soon
Decent course but can get busy
Greens are ok, fairways are a bit long. Good mix of holes. Can get busy with players from the hotel who have no idea about golf and letting people through
West course super but staff let’s it down
Took my 14 year old son to play the west course at Dalmahoy. Always enjoyed playing both east or west as always a challenge and always in good condition.
But, I have never ever at any golf course I’ve played in England Scotland Portugal USA France Austria have I had such an unfriendly welcome at a club. The staff at the pro shop just pointed and didn’t look up from their phones. Understandable maybe if busy, but we were the only ones in the shop.
It’s put me off coming back
Great easy going course
Nice course greens were in great condition. Not long or hilly either.
Slow play
Work outing in front playing Texas scramble. Very, very slow. Almost walked off.
Will not be going back soon.
Dalmahoy West
A great wee course not too long and not too short , ideal for an afternoon round as it only took us 3 hours
Definitely worth a game
Winter golf
We had a really good day playing Dalmahoy East course, Friendly staff who were happy to help.
The course was in good condition for the time of year. No winter greens.
I would recommend to anyone considering playing, Two good water hazards at 15 and 16.
Nice course, but easy improveable
Played this before going to the airport. Good layout of the course that was different from other courses I played in Scotland. They didn't have a course guide, which seems odd considering the price tag of a round. I believe the map on hole 8 was outdated, since it showed a straight hole while it did in fact dogleg left. Not possible to eat after the round if you're done before 12.30.
Excellent day out
When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who were both polite and helpful. The course was in excellent condition the West course is short but accuracy off the tee is a must greens were consistent throughout and to top the day off one of my playing partners had a hole in 1 at the short 16th. Excellent day and will be back.
