About

Holes 18
Type Resort
Style Parkland
Par 68
Length 5168 yards
Slope 116
Rating 64.5

The Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club's shorter golf course is the West Course, which measures 5,168 yards from the white tees. That just makes the par-68 golf course a different kind of test, as it features squeezed fairways and little greens, requiring accurate play. The golf course demands extra accuracy at its end if you're going to find your way around the Gogar Burn's waters.

A round of golf on the Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club's West Course kicks off on Caw Canny, a par 4 that measures 269 yards from the white tees. Coming in at over 10 percent of the course's length is the 13th hole, Lang Dalmahoy, a 536-yard par-5. The final hole is Douglas Hame, a 314-yard par 4.

The Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club offers several stay-and-play packages, as well as golf events and instruction.

Excellent

Worth the £16 fee, winter tees but full fairways & really good greens for time of year. Decent pace of play, plenty room in front & not pushed from behind. Excellent value for Edinburgh golf will play again.

Decent wee course

Nice wee course - not the longest but hard with the wind around. In decent condition, greens were tough to judge, some fast, some slow. Simple course with not too many hazards. Worth a round

Great course busy at the weekend!

Enjoyed the course overall, never played before on here. Performed better on the back nine but got jammed up around the 12th hole with 4 players up ahead. I’d go back midweek when it’s a bit quieter. Guy behind me was a bit impatient which resulted in me nearly being hit twice and my partner hit once. Ground was in good condition but no buggies allowed out which was disappointing. Proshop is stocked with mostly clothing and a few accessories.

Excellent

Playing off temporary tee boxes in January can be expected, playing off the fairway without matts isn’t. The was a real bonus, fairways were excellent and only 1 Winter Green. All main greens in Good condition for the time year.

Golf Now Voucher Winter Golf

On the whole the West Course was in good condition considering the time of year - although the winter tees were showing signs of heavy use & for my partner who had never played here before she didn't get a sense of the full course.

High number of pitchmarks on some greens, winter conditions are always going to be soft but no excuse for lazy golfers not repairing marks.

That being said to be able to play without mats throughout the course was very good

The greens were heavily sanded which impacted on the putting. Good point was there was no temporary greens.

Played off matts for the par 3's which were absolutely fine.

Teeing off from the temporary t's was a different story. Just plonked on the fairway with majority of them having long grass and the ground was very uneven and sloped.

We enjoyed the game, but was expecting a little better if im honest.

Amazing golf course.

I rented clubs from the pro shop. I was so pleased they rwnted me a full set of Taylor made QT10. Great clubs BTW. The course was in spectacular shape. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed talking to the starter "Martin". He was so helpful and kind. I had one of the best days of my life at Dalmohoy. I took lots of pictures. I wish I had more time in Scotland. I wanted to play another round there, but was unable too.

Dalmahoy

I played this west course and it was fantastic for me a mid handicap player, I arrived a little early and was told I could play as it wasn’t too busy. The fairways are wide enough and greens play fast, would recommend this to anyone.
