Marshall Canyon Golf Club

Long story short: We got started on back 9 with a promise the front would be wide open when we hit the turn. Played 9 holes in 2hr 15min. Got to tee box #1 to find a foursome on the green, foursome in the fairway, and three groups waiting to tee off (2 foursomes and a twosome). Waited 10-15 minutes, first group waiting finally started to tee off. Needless to say there is no plan in place to take care of their golfers when a situation arises. Poor decision to send groups to back 9 because of minor back up a few holes into the course. Decided not to wait and have a 3+ hour front 9. "Best" they could do is give us a free drink ticket. Wild.

Start us one tee box #1, would've been a smooth and fun round for my buddies first time there.

Unfortunate.

Too many people playing on the course. There are 6 carts of 3 groups hanging on the tee box of hole#7 and the front group of hole 7 just tee off when we hatted the Hole 6 green.

Not a lot of OB but still have to place the ball off the tee with less than driver on some par 4/5’s. Greens are sloped and tough to read.

The last three times I’ve played here, the tee has been behind at least 30 minutes and there are never any carts. I showed up to my tee time yesterday to find no carts and the tee was 36 minutes behind at least. My tee time was 3:48 and at 3:48, the 3:12 group was getting cart keys and not even ready to tee off. The management here is not good. With 8 minute intervals, there shouldn’t be a problem with cart turnover or being on time. Course desperately needs a starter and a marshall. It seems the golf shop is squeezing groups in throughout the day and that needs to be addressed. Marshall canyon has lost my business unless I need a morning tee time but even then I’m still probably going elsewhere.

It took aver 6 hours to play a round of golf. Ridiculous.

Do not play here on the weekend unless you have your entire day free. Absolutely brutal pace, there were 4 groups back up on the 2nd tee! Marshalls helped a little bit but still we were late to start our round and were only 2 holes in after an hour. Worst pace I’ve ever seen.

That aside it’s a nice course with incredibly tough greens, sometimes it’s a little gimmicky how aggressive the slopes are. Good luck if you’re putting downhill

Check-in starter person was quite frustrated as he was explaining all tee times were delayed for 30 mins for everyone. He even yelled at a person because he got mixed up with his tee time. He literally yelled at people at 1st hole tee box. What a great way to start a round when you see that. And our cart battery died at 15th hole.

An employee got assaulted and the let the group who did it play. I canceled my tee time because they’d disgraceful

Somehow the course looks greener

Pace of play is still an issue here Even in the late afternoon

But the check in staff somehow can’t seem to remember that it’s a customer oriented business
