Cimarrone Golf Club

First time playing Cimarrone. (I stayed away in prior years due to very bad reviews, particularly of the greens. Change of ownership last summer has led to big improvements, which have been reflected in recent good reviews. I decided to give it a try and was glad I did.)

Great layout and tough, with water in play on I think 17 of the 18.

Greens were fine except for #7 and #17 which need work. Grass in fairways and rough was a bit sparse, although that’s not unusual this time of year.

too much money, especially for a rider, with the poor course conditions. It had not really rained in days But the course was too wet.

It is almost there folks !! 7 out of 10

Cimarrone is a fun course, the staff is very friendly and course conditions continue to improve.

No secret this course had fallen on hard times, but recent changes are making an impact. Only one full green and a few spots on a couple of others that were "bad". Most were fine for the price and a few were near perfect, even in early January. The layout has always been great and challenging. Bring extra balls as always due to the water on every hole. If you haven't played in a while because the conditions had been so bad, I think it is safe to return and give it another shot and help it recover. It's a good old course and doesn't deserve to die a sad death, lets hope that doesn't happen. On the right track.

Played this course a few times in the past. Needs some work on the greens especially number 7.

Stuck behind a foursome who were very slow and never saw ranger to speed them up.

Monday group there is 3 of us, course stuck us with a fourth and made our single ride with him. Appeared the guy didn't have a tee time and was just waiting to get paired with a group.

The condition of the course has improved since we played it this time last year. The layout is excellent and continued improvement of the turf conditions will make an excellent venue.

Good condition for this time of year. Greens in good shape.
