About
The Amelia River Club is located on Amelia Island, just north of Jacksonville and within minutes of the historic town of Fernandina Beach. Renowned as one of the best-conditioned courses in the area with incredibly smooth greens, sculpted around a forest of majestic Live Oaks, Sable Palms, Pines and Wax Myrtles.
This par 72 track, designed by Tom Jackson, plays to a yardage of 6,823 from the back tees. It's pristine condition features well manicured rolling fairways, smooth bunkers and greens that challenge all skill levels. This course is unique in character and is a treat to play.
The Amelia River consists of 18 holes of challenging golf where ball control and accuracy are keys to a great game. The fairways are wide and open, giving the golfer a sense of a traditional Scottish links course on some holes and a narrow tree lined experience on others. The 13th hole is a good example of the course’s challenges. This long par five runs along the border of the Fernandina Beach Airport and is a strategic three shot hole. Too long and left at lay up and you will have to deal with a water hazard. The wind can play havoc with this hole as it reminds one of an open links style design. In contrast #9 is a tree lined par four with very little room for error and includes a forced carry over Alligator Creek.
The signature 17th hole is a par three surrounded by water demanding an accurate shot to the island green which closely resembles another very famous golf hole in our area! The final hole ends at the edge of the Amelia River and its expansive tidal marsh.

Got a hot now deal and played the course for 58 bucks. Best 58 bucks I’ve ever spent on golf. Greens are amazing but not immaculate.

Amelia River Club Rocks!
I introduced Amelia River club to a friend of mine who played it for the first time. It was my second time playing and it just reinforced my memories from playing it earlier. The course was in immaculate condition and the pace of play was terrific. Its location next to an airfield makes for interesting sites while you’re moving to your next shot. Many planes taking off and landing. My friend and I both enjoyed the experience so much that we vowed to play it again the next time we visit Amelia island which will not be in the distant future. We both give the course five star ratings in terms of quality, overall experience, and price. Well done guys keep up the good work!

Great option on Amelia Island
Well run, great staff, greens were 9 out of 10. Aaprons need a little work as the have some of that strange grass growing, don’t know the name but the bunch stuff that has spread lightly onto 2 of the putting surfaces. Tee box’s well maintained, gfsirways grest

Great Layout! Pricey!
Loved the layout of the course and the face that were no houses. The course is in pretty good condition. Two greens had a weed problem, and it's a little expensive to play there. Everything else from the staff to the course itself is very good. Will play there again.

Price has increased considerably since my last round at this course in 2019.. Greens were in good shape, fairways were a little disappointing.
Thank goodness for reduced rate thru Golf Now. Normal rate is not worth the money.

Good course - good staff - pace slow. Not enough marshals keeping people moving

No Rain Rivers
The course was in good condition. I know it rained two days prior but the sand traps were smooth. The cart girl did not have certain stock.but overall it's a great course.
