The Amelia River Club

Great shape, nice folks, slow old people, but the wind was blowing and it wasn’t too hot so waiting wasn’t too bad. 3 cart path only holes that day. 2,9, 18

This is a really fun and challenging course to play. Greens are very good, but get slow in late afternoon as the Bermuda grows during the day. Fairways are really well manicured, and the rough isn’t very thick. The layout has a lot of variety and there are lots of challenging holes mixed with some birdie holes. There are tees for every level. They have named holes 16-18 the Gator Den, and it’s aptly named. You can see gators on 17 and 18, but these are three really tough closing holes. Be on your game and you’ll shoot a good score. I thoroughly enjoy playing here as a 2 handicap golfer.

The fairways were in nice shape despite the Florida drought. The greens were in great shape and rolled true. They were cut a little longer and were slower than I was used to. But I am used to very fast greens. Probably better for most people. They had a great variety of tee boxes so you can make the course as tough as you want take on. My wife thought the course was woman friendly with only a few forced carries and the right length for her game.

This is a hidden gem, I was pleasantly surprise and please playing this golf course, we’ll maintain from tee to green,

Good layout and very friendly staff who were helpful. Good quality rental clubs (male & female) but a bit pricey, althougj it did include6new balls.

Disappointed that bar not open for a drink after our round.

Great local public course. Staff are very friendly and the course is always in good shape. The only complaint is the range price. They charge $20 for a bag of 25-30 balls. Most places are $12-$15 and you get 60-70 balls.

Had a pre game sandwich prepared individually, which was delicious .Tom the starter was very helpful and welcoming …overall the course was good the rough had not yet grown but the fairways and greens were grand…overall loved it and enjoyed the day

Great Course with a friendly staff…tee times 5mins a part called for almost a 5hr round of golf!

Shot a 80.Greens was a bit slower than expected,perhaps this helped.

Amelia River was in great shape yesterday and except for the greens Being a little slow was absolutely perfect. Everything was green. the layout course was very challenging but fair.

I play here annually on my SE road trip. The layout is enjoyable, but the greens were dreadfully slow. Not sure they had been cut in days. Otherwise, the course was in good shape and the staff is top notch.
