North at Alondra Park Golf Course

Decent layout / Average condition / a couple greens in tough shape, but most ok / Course redo would be great some day

Our first cart wouldn't start. The second cart gave out on 18 so we had to hike to finish. No GPS in the cart. A public course which allows fivesomes which makes for a very slow pace especially on the weekend.

Conditions have been improving over the last few months. Greens still not ideal but getting better. Wish they would not allow groups of 5. Greatly slows down the pace of play. They need a ranger

Played Alondra on a Friday afternoon. Course was in pretty good shape. Rough cut, course fairly green, and greens recovering nicely from aeration. Alondra is a wide open course that is fair to the average golfer. Has a few long park fours that play even longer with wind. Pace is play was slow this afternoon but that is part of the game at times. All in all, a nice muni.

Hit it up with some buddies mid day on a Monday and got a hot rate for $31 a head. It was pretty chill on pace- sometimes had to wait on par 3’s and that’s about it. Wide open fairways and not that many bunkers so we weren’t really hacking and just got to work on our game. The rough and trees were sometimes tough but it rained the night before.

Overall a solid spot, for a good price, and I’ll be back with the boys. Good vibes from the check in to the finish. Some long fun holes, really got to smash some balls, just wish they were smashed straight every time!

I don’t know whose fault it is hence the 1 star. Golfnow website promoted a HotDeal for 4/25/23 for 32.00 pp car included (normally 45-55) at this course. Bought and prepaid tee time for 2 (72). When I showed up they had us booked at the Par 3 course which cost 17 pp and no carts allowed (of course). They said that GN has this promotion that they do not offer and need to call them for a refund. I was not the only one as other were in the same situation. Ended up having to pay regular price (115) to play.

Called GN and Marlon said that I made a mistake and no refund will be possible.

Pictures show what I booked. Also the same HotDeals being offered for the next day 4/26/23 for the same price. My reservation number, yardage and car included are also clearly showing in the pictures which corresponds to the full course.

Glitches happen but it is not my fault and neither GN or the golf course are taking responsibility.

The newly administration is allowing fivesome on this course. American Golf are managing other site, with some not allowing fivesome, like Los Verdes, making customer a lot happier. The round was really slow due to many fivesomes on the course. Took over 5 hours to play. And when you are a twosome, because the other group of two didn't show up, it doesn't make it for a good round of golf. Nevertheless, the layout is fair and the course is getting in better shape. Unfortunately, they couldn't cut the grass too much due to the rain, making it very hard to find your ball in the rough. Long and thick rough for now. They are maintaining the greens and they have just recently been punched. Hopefully the new management will change the policy to play fivesome. One other thing, the food wasn't really good. The chili cheese dog needs some work.
