Challenging Par 3 for a duffer
This was my first time playing Alondra, so I didn't know what to expect. The tee box mats were in good shape, however many people tee around the mats so the grass isn't in great shape there. The tee shots on some holes are challenging as there are narrow launch areas (tree overhangs). The greens are difficult as they are elevated...and small. There are some greens with dead spots, so putting can be very uneven. I would play again, just know what you have in store.

tightly fit in greens but decent place to just get out and get some practice in. Short course. We only played through hole 11.
It’s a fun paced course with some challenges
I recently moved to the South Bay from NORTHRIDGE!
My son and I played, we had a good time. Pace was good and all the players were good ball strikers so there wasn’t a super long wait on any hole!
It’s a good course to work on your skills and hone things up!

No rentals
There were 4 ladies in our group & we all needed to rent clubs. The golf shop only had 2 sets that were from Fred Flinstones personal collection I am sure! We had to share the 2 sets that they had & everyone had to take a cart & a putter.....it was a little bit ridiculous.
The course itself was fine, bit of a weird layout....but all in all was a good round & we enjoyed the course....just not the clubs!
Good for the price
It is not bed for this price. But, if you want good condition and don't care to pay more you can go other place.
Best place to pratice short game
I love to practice short game at this course also get some walking excercise at same time.

You can do better
Unfortunately, this was my home course growing up and I had a chance to return recently. It has always been a dog track, and things haven’t changed. The fairways are thin, the greens are bumpy, and you can even play in a 5 some, which is very common! You will have opportunities to buy balls from homeless people in the park if you forget some and to pick up the many cigarette butts littering the course.
I think it funny that they call it the “North” course now and the picture with the ocean view here is false advertising. There is no ocen views here - the only views you will find are of homeless people, bare fairways, and city street traffic.
Nice cheap practice course
The longest hole is 180 yards. The greens are not very challenging. This course is great for practicing approach shots and chipping.
This is NOT a Hot Deal
The regular fee for the PAR 3 course is $13.75 and the HOT Deal price is $13.49. The first week the listing included a cart but Alondra soon dropped that offer making this a not so HOT Deal.
