A great course that’s not the same anymore
I played this course a lot the past few years and I always thought this was a great course but it has went really downhill this year but got so much more expensive, it used to be great value for money, even probably cheaper for the quality it used to be. Now it’s £40 and it’s not even worth half of that with the condition of most of the fairways and the greens, it’s really sad to see as I really liked this course over the last few years, the staff are still great but the course has fell off a cliff.
Greens and other
Frienly staff. Locations for.next tee was sometimes strange. Greens not good condition yet. Also there is other people wandering there than golfers.
The course itself was good, had a few interesting holes. The members we spoke to were all really friendly.
Some greens on the front 9 weren’t in great condition though
We were charged £40, and had to play off fairway mats, which I thought was pretty steep. No mention of this when we booked, just told at the starters hut. Thought at that price; we would not be playing under winter conditions.
Not great value for money.
Downhill!!
Ex member, and thought to jump up and play it since not been in a whilst, always says the track has always been a good layout but young people obv using it as a place to gather and drink also the conditions are not the best considering its £35 a pop to play it. Staff in pro shop awere superb. But this is a course that has went downhill majorly hence why a lot of member left.
Faders Paradise
Tale of two nines I found. Back nine a lot easier. Lovely course. Good condition 😃
Unfortunately 4 holes were off when we played and very wet under foot but it is winter think I would go back in the better weather.
Busy like a weekend
Sunny Thursday morning, loads of 3/4 balls.
Far too busy and waited for ages every shot.
Played 10 holes and can't be bother.
Nice course though
Nice Course on a wet day .
Green Keepers were working hard to keep the putting surfaces in good shape through out the day .
Nice course
1st time play here, the lady in pro shop very welcoming and helpful.
The green great condition, decent fairway not too wet even raining the night before.
Some lovely view.
Definitely be back
Excellent Time
Just new to playing Golf and this was only my 3rd course. Members were all friendly and helpful, the most pleasant experience I’ve had at a Golf Course so far.
Tough Course but a great experience, lovely views and the course is kept well cut and tidy.
Course has some good holes
Seen it on the golf now hot deals and i am looking to play every course in Scotland I thought let’s try crow wood out and what a great setup with some testing holes with plenty of bunkers think I spent more time in the sand than when I go to the beach 🤣🤣 but definitely worth the money to play here.
Only think I would recommend is some signs to show some of the next tees for frist time players
Good starter course
Good course for a learner. Well presented grounds perfect for anyone just starting out. Would recommend.
Lovely course for all levels
I played Crow Wood on Monday. Most other courses were closed due to the heavy rainfall the previous day. I wasn’t expecting much given the weather but I couldn’t have been more surprised and impressed with the condition the course was in. Obviously there were puddles on some holes but that’s to be expected given the weather, but the greens were in perfect condition and the course was in great condition too. The course is well laid out meaning there is no long walks between greens and tee boxes. The course is relatively open which makes it good for golfers of all level but there are plenty of hazards to find yourself in too, so it is still a good test of skill. The lady in the pro shop was very friendly and the facilities in the clubhouse were in lovely condition too.
Crow Wood
Have played this Course a couple of times in previous years and enjoyed it. Thoroughly enjoyed playing it again. Greens were a touch slow but other than that it was in very good condition. Great layout and a variety of holes which provide a challenge to Golfers of all abilities. At £20-25 for Visitors it is excellent value.
Crowood golf course
A half decent course played a few times now and enjoyed my round every time took a friend with me on last visit who also had a good round and was pleasantly surprised with the course 😀 as he had read a few bad reviews about it
