Mount Vintage Golf Club - Chester Course

Played Independent and Chester, both very nice and challenging

I love this layout. Course conditions are much improved from recent years. The new greens are smooth and roll true. I like the elevation changes and the big course feel with enough variety in the tees to fit any game.

This was the third time I have played the course in the past couple of months. One of the best values in the CSRA. You can tell Mount Vintage has new management with rebuilt bunkers, a great range and practice area, and friendly helpful staff. It was awfully wet from all the rain and yet every bunker had been raked and manicured. The Independence 9 is my favorite. Wide open. Does not beat you up but tough to score your best with the contours and nuisances of the terrain and greens. I just love this golf course.

Paid $37 on GN. Should have paid $27. Greens a bit rough. Course was wet and cart path only. This is a challenging, Championship type course. Course conditions probably a function of it being mid February. I you ask me 3 months from now I probably will have a different story. They used to play an LPGA tournament here 10 years ago.

This golf course is one of the best in the area!! It has everything you can ever ask for. The golf staff is most friendly place I’ve ever been in this area!! A lot of clubs could learn from this staff far as making people feel welcomed!! The grille has the best burger in town and two great waitresses. The golf course is definitely by far the best 27 holes I’ve seen in long time. If you haven’t played it you need to it’s in great shape!!

The course was cart path only and that wasn't necessary as there were a few wet holes but as an experienced golfer, you know what areas to avoid.

It was nice to see that Mt Vintage has almost returned to its original great shape. The greens are new and really wonderful. The course is just in great shape. It has been several years since the course was in such good shape. It is returning to a level it had when it first opened. It was nice to see that there were a lot of players on the.course, and several new ho,es being built.

so went to the masters for the 1st time and booked this course online. All golf courses were charging astronomical prices due to the masters. Regardless we were to play in a shot gun tournament, get lunch etc, however when we arrived I think we may have been the only 4some. The course was in horrible shape, no grass on fairways and burnt greens. When we went into the clubhouse for our lunch they said kitchen staff had left and all they had were 2 day old sandwiches, at least that's what they tasted like.

THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL RIPE OFF!!!

I recently moved from NJ to SC and played a bunch of courses in the area to find one I can call home. Found it at Mount Vintage GC. Course is in great shape played a few times before I wrote this review. 27 holes, driving range including separate chipping and sand bunker area, carts have usb ports and the grille has great food. The staff is friendly helpful and the prices are more than reasonable. I heard that the LPGA had played this course years ago and read past reviews where some stated the conditions were not that great......WELL THEY ARE NOW!!!!! Keep up the great work MVGC

This course with it's scenery, topography and layout is one of the best courses around in SC. Recently had some old college buds visit from various parts of the country and they all raved about the course, the staff & overall atmosphere here at Mt Vintage. Arguably the best bang for the buck in this area & once you play the course, YOU WILL BE BACK.

The course continues to return to its original glory days. You can't beat the value for a course this nice with friendly staff and a real good challenge for any level golfer.

Well worth $32 on a weekend; Vintage 9 greens are best they have been since the renovations began a couple years back. Pace of play was great and club employees were super friendly as usual. Great value considering most comparable courses in the area are $50+ on weekends

Great deal for a challenging course. Some greens need a bit of work around the edges as well as a couple tee boxes, but they roll fast and true. Staff is excellent and they have everything you need. Will be visiting here again many times in the future.

Although the course was in great shape, the green speed was very slow.

Course continues to get better each time I can get time to come play. Others need to come out and see for themselves.

Mount Vintage is a very nice course with a excellent staff. The course is in great shape and was challenging but very fun. Grounds crew has done a great job keeping the greens Nice through the summer. Overall it is one of the best values in the area when booked through GolfNow.
