Balmore Golf Club

Cracking day at Balmore. The welcome from the pro shop was excellent and genuine. For such a well maintained course the pace of play and groups booked was excellent. A guid few par 3's but none of them were easy in the breeze and the par 4's while reachable in standard were precise and greens well protected. Bunkers well placed but lovely soft sand. Greens in good condition but a bit of speed variance I think based on where they were and exposed to wind and sun. A few blind drives that need course experience but holes well mapped and sign posted. Great value given it was £17pp. Clubhouse open and looks over the 18th so a nice place to finish up and have a drink.

Really good value course, but the pro in the shop was not friendly at all… didn’t even say hello. This is quite a common thing with golf pros unfortunately, they need to learn some basic customer service skills

A really enjoyable day. Some excellent par 3's, not to long, superb countryside all round course, well kept and in great condition. Will play again in coming weeks.

Really nice course to play and very scenic. It’s not as flat as it looks in the photos so be prepared for a few hills. But it’s a great course to play I would thoroughly recommend

1sr class course with a great practice area. Some cracking looking holes and also challenging. Only thing it lacks is a par 5.

Really enjoyed this course. A few cross over holes but that didn’t detract from it except for a few waits really were minor although I could see it slowing things up on a very busy day. Really friendly and helpful staff and good food at the end of the round. I’d thoroughly recommend this lovely course to anyone wanting a nice day out in the country. Nothing not to like about this. No par 5’s but a lot of long par 4’s so don’t let that put you off. If you’ve not heard of it or tried it....give it a go.

Second time playing this course and confirmed my first thoughts that it is a proper golf course.The course is beautifully laid out and relies on its classic design as a true test of golf rather than ‘tricks’ or signature holes.If you add the very friendly staff and excellent clubhouse food to the mix then you will enjoy a super day’s golf at a very reasonable price.

Great wee course. Played this course a few times now. One of our favourites to play on Golf Now. Would certainly not recommend it, only for the fact we don't want the tee times filling up.
