Balmore Golf Club

Absolute fantastic course the set up superb staff friendliness superb pace of play superb weather was also great this is my second time playing this course and for 30 pounds on golf now won't get a better deal anywhere can't praise this course enough it's a must visit.

This course was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. Course was in great condition, greens were perfect. The man in the club shop (likely the pro) was so nice and friendly and laid out the expectations on the course which really helped us out.

Unbelievable course, greens were like sheets of glass! Fairways were perfect. Will definitely be back!

1st time playing Balmore. We were met with a friendly guy in the pro shop who answered our questions and couldn’t be more helpful. Really nice atmosphere around the club. Will definitely be playing it again. I may even take on a membership. Lovely course and friendly vibe to the place. Well done everyone involved.

The course was laid out in rolling tree lined Parkland with ample water features, sand, dry stane walls, and dog legs to challenge and entertain. The course was well cared for and members who were in front and behind me were engaging, gracious and respectful to myself and other course users.

My whole experience was first rate, and I would like to thank the members I met for their welcoming consideration for someone who was unfamiliar with the course.

A very enjoyable round of over the beautiful and colourful Balmore GC just outside Glasgow. Great welcome from Paul in the Pro Shop on arrival, the catering team before and after our golf, and the greenkeepers as we made our way round. Any doubt over the impact of such a prolonged dry spell (May 2025) were soon cast aside at the first green… lush carpets with perfect pace. This Harry Vardon course is well presented, tight in places and challenging everywhere… old walls, burns and deep bunkers… and just because it has 6 par-3s does not equal 18 strokes! Easy to block yourself out and it’s all about placement. I’d happily play it again to get those placements right! Thank you Balmore GC 👍

Perfect course for a day out with my son,who's a beginner,enjoyed the whole experience.

Really enjoyed my round at Balmore. Course in really good shape. Greens putted fine even with fertiliser recently applied. They will be excellent in a couple of weeks. Not the longest course but it does not play short. Do not be fooled into thinking scoring will be easy. The par 3 holes are varied and photogenic. Loved the green complex at 15. Great finishing hole too then some excellent food in the clubhouse.

Excellent layout with varied holes to which all where excellent. Great condition and superb value for money.

First time playing this course and the guy in the pro shop was very friendly and talked through the layout of the course. Course is still on winter tees and fairways but that didn't stop me enjoying it. Greens are spiked and a little sandy but this is expected. You can tell when May comes around that this course will be in top condition. Really nice back to back par 3s on the back 9 and it helps they have the stick that you can fish the ball out the stream 😂 No par 5s.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Gave a quick talk through of the facilities and gave me some helpful guidance to get round the course.

All 18 winter tees but they werent too bad. All the greens were on and still needing a bit of work.

Nice layout and some interesting holes. Some cracking wee par 3 on the back 9.

Enjoyable course and would play again.

Played here on a frosty Saturday morning with an early tee off all the holes were on winter greens due to frost however this didn’t sour my opinion of the course, a great lay out with all different types of holes and to to it off we were given another round free due to the greens being off. Pro was very approachable and set us up for another round without any problems looking forward to coming back next week

After recent weather this course was in great condition gave it 4 stars for condition even though greens were on they were slightly bumpy but would highly recommend getting a round in here will be going back in summer as this is a fantastic course
