Friendly members
Played the course for the first time and have to say we were very impressed. The course was in fantastic condition despite the heavy rain over the previous few days. The layout is interesting although can be a bit confusing at times. The members however were brilliant and directed us whenever we looked losty. Not played for over a year so the tight fairways could be punishing at times. It is a pretty short course but plenty of challenge! To summarise, a great course with friendly, accomadating members.
Friendly course with interesting holes
A warm greeting and a good clubhouse. The course was a little short , and we were chased a little by competing groups but a good day all round , finished with a good meal at a fair price
Lovely wee Course
Lovely wee course and in good condition given the heavy rainfall of recent - well looked after. Members and Club Pro extremely friendly and welcoming. All in all great value for money. Will be back!
Loveky wee course
There are a lot of highlights on this testing wee course. It was soggy when I played but it really has everything in terms of testing your skills but at a gentle pace. Highly recommend you check it out. Best value in the area.
Great course
Played today the course was in a beautiful condition green were lovely few testing holes especially when playing up the hill ! Members were also freindly I will definitely be back in the future to play this course!
First Time
First time playing and enjoyed it. Course was in great condition. Short course and not too testing.
Only gripe was no signage showing where next holes are - some holes it's not obvious where the next is.
Clober G.C.
Golf shop very helpful, we were lucky with the weather for the time of year. Course was looking and playing very well. Tees and greens both have been well looked after. Very enjoyable day, and good food and service once we had finished in the clubhouse.
Lovely golf course - excellent value
Played this in late September, so the only minor criticism is that the greens weren't quite up to standard of rest of course but great all round experience. Love the par threes!
Clober GC
Clober is a great wee course. I played here as a member for several years and only left due to moving out of the area.
There are 8 par 3s, but that shouldn't put you off. There is still a lot of good golf to be played and a lot of great holes.
The beautiful par 3 5th hole is excellent with an accurate 115 yard tee shot required (water down the right and OB on the left).
On the par 5 8th, a drive up the right (onto the 10th fairway) takes the left hand OB out of play. A layup is also the play as the green must be one of the smallest par 5 greens you will play.
The par 5 10th has the only fairway bunker, around 100 yards short of the green. Next the dog leg par 4 really requires less than driver up the left hand side to open up the green. However longer hitters may take this on.
The hill does come into play on the 7th and the 14th with fairly extreme tee shots required up to the plateau.
The 15th is a blind par 3, but after you have played it a few times it is a pretty big target to find the green.
17th is a strong par 4 with a slopey green and 18 is a good finishing hole that shouldn't wreck your card - with 2 safe shots you can find the green.
Good day out
Top marks to green keeping staff..course and greens were best i have played on this year
Clober
Fantastic course and better every time you play. 8 par 3s and everyone so difficult. What a well looked after course.
Clober
2nd time played this course and thought might get the par 3s better! What a beautiful course and so well looked after. Its absolutely immaculate and what a joy to play in Sun and 21c. People think 8 par 3s and possibly easy! One off the hardest is the 5th at 110 yards! Recommend for any player low or high handicaps. Can't wait to try again.
Lovely course.but?
Could do with better tee directions especially at the 5th and 6th holes other than that would gladly play again at this well maintained course
Clober
What a beautiful course. So well maintained. Always wanted to play the 8 par 3s. And every 1 so difficult. The course was that good I'm thinking off joining. Would recommend for any golfer from low to high handicap. Outskirts off Glasgow has many fantastic courses? This is 1 off the best.
Lovely little course
Very cleverly designed course in a small area of land. That said while playing it felt longer than its sub 5000 yards.
Some picturesque holes and some challenging ones, 8 par 3s may sound simple but they were not. We all enjoyed our round and will happily return.
Staff at the pro shop were friendly and helpful too.
Impressive little course
Great little course, not particularly long but interesting holes and pretty challenging. Excellent views and friendly starter.
Clober Golf Course
Myself and my two friends played this course yesterday (11th June 2017) Two of us have just started playing golf again after about 15 years away from the sport but we found this course to be perfect for us. There were quite a few lovely par 3's which suited us and when it came to the par 5's they were wide enough to give us a bit of leeway with our drives. The course itself was in very good condition and it was a very picturesque area to play in. I will definitely be back soon and will be recommending this course to friends and colleagues.
