fairways and greens are in nice shape
Considering how many rounds are played during the weekend, the fairways and greens are in nice condition.
No Marshall during twilight
Every so often you see a guy playing the blue tees because all of his friends are but he should be playing the front tees. 3:20 tee time had a guy like this and they were two entire holes behind, hitting mulligans, etc. That’s what the range is for. So we called the pro shop and asked for a Marshall, but there’s no Marshall after 5pm so we were stuck behind these beginners with no understanding of pace of play. Pace of play should be an important aspect of taking a beginner out to play. And asking the group behind to play through should be considered. Absolutely annoying day.
Everybody at the course from the guy at the pro shop who checked us in and the person at the 1st hole whose assigning golf carts were all nice and corteous.
Best muni around
I love this course. It is in absolutely great shape and while it is relatively forgiving, it can also be very challenging. My only complaint is the lack of support from the Ambassadors. We were behind a group all day that ended up being almost two holes behind after 5 holes. They couldn't hit the ball more that 75 yards and took their tilme for every shot. Their on green pace was incredibly slow. The "ranger" did nothing. Drove our group crazy.
Fun Challenging Course
My son and I had a good time. Met some great people. Course is challenging but fun. Greens are fast. The pace was slow but we had a good time.
Not worth the cost
Hadn’t played big rec in years but drive by it every week. Was really unimpressed with the layout and repetitive hole feel. Club house shuts down super early as well so if you play twilight take advantage of the on course restrooms and bring your own food/drinks. Fine for the 30-40 range but when they charge 70+ for prime weekend items it’s not worth it.
Pace of Play
Stop your money gouging and putting tee times too close together. The course was clogged the entire day. A round of golf shouldn’t take almost 6 hours. If you can’t make times work don’t make them available to the public. I love this course and grew up on this course. Stop ruining it for others by the slow pace of play. It is ridiculous.
Pretty nice course. But a little expensive
Greens are pretty good, fairways are good, and the tee boxes are a bit used but seems like the regular out here. Course layout is nice, nothing too hard. Usually good pace but sometimes you can get held up pretty bad, mainly during twilight times. Overall a pretty nice course but a bit expensive.
Tough layout
I can only think of one criticism and that is that it seems to be “undersloped”. From the white tees there are numerous holes that are unreachable for someone who hits a lot of drives in the 180-190 yard area. The hills and the wind also lend to the course’s difficulty. In my opinion, a white slope rating of 4-5 points higher seems justified. I enjoyed the course.
