Beautiful Course
Beautiful day, great course, decent pace, friendly staff
Solid course!
I’ve always enjoyed playing this course. It is long, open, and the greens are in excellent condition. The only negative is it was a 5 hour round. I believe we had one of the last tee times before twilight. We were almost 2 holes in front of the first twilight group. The round was so slow the first twilight group caught us at the turn.
Big Wreck with weekend pace of play
We mistakenly scheduled a Sunday tee time at Big Rec’s 18 hole course in Long Beach. The mistake was in believing that we could actually play in five hours or less. The Green’s were in excellent condition, the tea boxes could have used some maintenance, but the overwhelming issue was the pace of play. I would recommend this course to a friend, but not on a weekend.
Great shape
Staff was awesome, pace a play was 3-50. Teed off @ 7am. Not bad for a holiday! Course was in great shape. Very green. Tee boxes were good except 1 or 2 were a little beat up. Sand was good. Fairways were lush & the greens were pure! We had a great time & hope to back soon.
Twilight
Booked a 4pm tee time not expecting to get all 18 holes in. Pace of play was moving right along, and finished all 18 holes with plenty of daylight left at around 7:30pm.
Nice but slow
Conditions were pretty good from tee to green. Pace of play was dismal but I guess that’s to be expected when you tee off after noon.
Excellent pro shop and diner customer service
Had a 11am Hot Deal Tee time and the pro shop let me out @ 9:30 because it wasn’t even busy. Thank you Big Rec.
Expensive Muni Course
Staff is very professional. Course was great condition following a downpour that occurred a couple of hours before our tee time. Greens staff does a great job. Off course amenities fair; on the course nothing is offered (drink cart did come by after a couple of hours). Four & half for the round. $67 for a local muni executive course during the week is just a bit pricey.
