I like this course. It is now wicked hard but still challenging.
Well maintained.
Crazy day at Big Rec
Not to any fault of the course , but my round was super slow due to police activity in the area that ended up effecting play. Apparently suspects had fled on to the course
Besides that the course was playing great!
LB’s Crown Jewel
As much as I love El Dorado, I have to say that Big Rec has it beat. You can feel the special authenticity that only old courses have when you step on the first tee and traverse your way all the way across the stately old school layout. It’s a busy course but we got around in just over 4 hours, which was a pleasant surprise. Course conditions were great but a little soggy from all the rain, with the greens being way faster than I was expecting (kudos to the maintenance crew and greenskeeper!). I highly recommend this beautiful, historic and very playable course to anyone
