Skylinks Golf Course

Course in ideal condition and greens are quick but pure! Only thing about SkyLinks green fees are extremely high for weekday and weekend play. $78 per round unless you’re lucky enough to get a “Great Deal” from Golf Now! Also pace of play could be improved if there were Marshalls patrolling the course.

I really like the layout of this course - there are short par fours and long par fours; the greens are quite challenging; and there are a number of doglegs.The greens are not in great shape, but considering the amount of play they are acceptable; the same is true of the fairways many of which have large patches of very tight lies. It's a bit more expensive than the other local courses, but I believe it's worth it.

I had a great 2 round of golf today, pace was fairly good in the morning, however it gets crowded in the afternoon hour when I played 2nd round. Staff were busy but very friendly. This is the best local course and it is my go to place for a round of golf.

Had a wonderful round today. I ended PARring the last 5 holes. Conditions were great.

5 1/2 hrs terrible. 2 some in front of us.

Poor course management

This is by far the slowest course around... second time playing and will never come back... teed off at 325... 5 hour round, couldn't even see our ball on 17 & 18... two 5 some groups infront of us... can't stand it haha dont waist your time if you're looking to get a normal 18 in.

Conditions are good (fairway-bunkers), rough is not the worst spot to be either.. but the greens have so many pitch marks not fixed properly it honestly was sad

Should have left when the staff said it would be 5.5 hours. It was worse. 1st tee stacked up with 4 or 5 groups. Waits on every hole. There’s no reason to put groups out every 6 minutes . Just a money grab and makes for a terrible experience. Will not be returning.

I play Skylinks two or three times a year, and this Sunday‘s experience was sub par for an otherwise fun and interesting course. Booked an early tee time and was scheduled to begin before 7 AM, but we be jammin 20 minutes late with no fog, no frost delay, or other explanation for the delay in starting. Marshals were nowhere to be found, as the group in front of our foursome fell behind which meant we waited on every hole

Many well kept challenging bunkers, good fareways, some good water hazards, but beat up greens. The course is next to an airport with noisy helicopter landings. The tenth hole is littered with range balls. All in all, a good course though.

I love all the Long Beach tracks and Skylinks is now exception. But here’s a simple honest review:

1) pace of play is terrible - 5:41 minutes

2) tee times running 45 minutes behind

3) no carts - we ended up walking

4) Fivesomes - This is ridiculous and has to stop

5) ZERO player management on course

6) zero player respect for the course

I enjoy the layout, play is well (5 index) but I will probably scratch Skylinks for the rotation.

American Golf should be dumped in favor of a local operator who really cares about the community- not just revenue.

We played on a Tuesday behind a tournament group. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The let us know that our start time would be about 10minutes late. The course pace moved well. We were only slightly delayed at the turn. We enjoyed the course and plan to return. The restaurant service was also very positive. Course conditions were very good.

Everything about course was good with the exception of the back tees being so forward but it looked as if they were preparing for the long beach golf festival. That was my only complaint, we tee'd off at 508 and finished just after 9 which was 30 minutes ahead of suggested pace. Greens rolled nice, fairways looked good. Bunkers were nice. Tee boxes weren't too level on some spots like the par 3's but it wasn't alot of of work to scoot back a little to a more level lie. Great day, miss this course. Cant wait to come back!
